In this instance I have lambasted an act I don't like, but it's not my norm here. If it was then most threads here would contain many posts of the same.

Most people posting here give their opinions of bands at some point; it seems that some think I don't have opinions in just the same way as they do, and shouldn't be permitted to do the same as them.

And for the record I am no Take That fan, like I say, some of their songs I like, the majority are just mediocre chart fodder for the masses in my opinion, but they do it very well and good luck to them. I am on my high horse as I just hate pointless slating of any artist/s just because an individual doesn't like them and to be honest I was hoping for a little more maturity on a forum dedicated to Glastonbury than I would find on the likes of a V Festival forum. Maybe I have a hedonistic view of Glastonbury that it's full of peace and love and open minds for all music styles. I'm probably 40 years too late.

what percentage of TT's released recordings do ANY of them have a writing credit for? A small proportion.

Of the ones that one or more have a writing credit for, how many of them have they had more than minimal input into? A small proportion.

If they're all as talented a you claim, why can they onlymanage to do a small proportion of a small proportion

I've seen bits of it on TV. Enough to see that little of the show is down to them, just as little of their musical output is.

That whole post, near the start of this thread seems to clearly imply that you don't believe ANY of them have a writing credit for ANY of the songs.

Much of what Take That have been doing has - very happily - passed me by. But even I'm not dumb enough to not know that Gary writes songs. Crap songs mind, but songs.

Also you claim little of their musical output comes from them, when in fact, as Barlow writes it, it all does

except all the ones that don't of course - about half of all they've ever recorded.

As for the rest of what I've said there, I'd admitted much of that was wrong in following posts. So you're hardly saying anything new here.

But what you're not saying is that you've made claims for me that you've failed to back up. Because you can't back them up. Because I never said anything close to what you've claimed.

Which of course makes you no less wrong with your claims of me as I was with some of my claims for Take That ... but at least I wasn't working off things that had passed my eyes just a few days (or even hours) before, but from stuff that had passed my eyes well over a decade ago (and for which time, of course, much of what I've said WAS true).
