To be honest unless you are gonna be using it for climbing Everest , then its whatever takes your fancy I reckon , just had a quick look on e bay and you can get a 75 litre ones pretty cheap !

By all means buy from eBay after, but I recommend going into a shop and trying them on. Especially if you plan to be stuck in an epic queue like last year...

get down to an army surplus shop, you can't beat an army bergan, tough as old boots ..

If you can live with the shame of not having a branded label, I picked up a good backpack from Tesco for about 35 quid. Its got loads of pockets and space to hang kit off.

It is fully adjustable and fits my back like a glove. Fantastic value if you aint planning a treck up Everest
