After my post I decided I should do something about those mcdonalds and currys immediately. I donned the running shoes I bought the other week and jogged around the estate. Just google mapped it and turns out it was just over 1.5 miles, I've not done any form of exercise for well over a year (probably much longer) so I'm well proud of myself. Feel so alive, gonna go for a run every night now.

basically, you're only allowed veg, fruit and fish. amongst other boring things like oats, nuts and brown rice and stuff.

i only lasted 3 days though  not as if i need to lose weight no, just did it to try and feel better. but it made me feel worse. no dairy or meat isn't good for me. could feel my skin getting worse, and i thought it would get better.

I had my worst weigh in ever today :( Gained 2lb! how I know not!?

My pal put on 6lbs in the week after her gastric bypass operation, despite the only food to pass her lips being one fat free fruit yogurt and a weak vegetable broth. Bummer. A year down the line she is 7 stone lighter though....

Chin up hun, overall you've done fantastically well. Today's a new day so put last week behind you. I know it's frustrating when you've been good & it hasn't paid off so poke two fingers up at last week & I'm sure next weeks weight in will be a loss. :D

What you went through was perfectly normal for a detox see: http://www.naturaltherapypages.com.au/article/Detox_Symptoms

(plenty more articles if you google it btw)

It takes a while to rid the body of toxins and in the meantime you definately feel crap but at the end when the toxins are out of the body you feel great! :)

Don't be put off by a few bad days the end result is definately worth it.

Hope this helps ...

Good luck hun! I'm sure you'll do fine. Lots of piccies for f/book pretty please!!

I went to my first Slimming World weigh in tonight and considering I have had a bad first week (lots of cider, chocolate, eating out etc), I have eaten more fruit and salad, i think my body has gone to shock!

Well I lost 1 lb! Not a lot but I thought i'd put on 5lbs!!!

dvjj - definately looking to lose 1-2 lbs a week. Idon't think it is possible for me to lose more a week, but if I do, i'll happily take it!

I'm back from Istanbul and Zurich so tomorrow is start day for me (after a chinese takeaway and a bottle of wine tonight!) I'm dreading the audible groan the scales will give as I step on them but i'm very determined - 3 U2 stadium gigs in a week has me knackered, and the mad dash across the pitch once the gates opened had me wishing I had portable oxygen!! Shocking considering I was running upto 15 miles a time less than a year and a slipped disc ago *sigh*

I shall be svelte and fit in my bikini top next June

pheweeee. After a weeks holiday in Cornwall - and a wedding, Cornish bitter, ice cream, Cream Teas and a meal at Rick Steins posh restaurant, I gained a pound! Yey! The 8 mile a day walking must have helped!
