oafc0000
I never suggested you keep on giving money.
Pogues Mcgogues
I accept the Labour parties decision... I accepted the outcome of the general election... I won't support either though with my backing... You some how think that is me being against democracy
oafc0000
You contested Ed winning as wrong. You said it was wrong. I would never say the Tory Lib coalition being in place is wrong. Democratically it's right. I contest their policies and their actions, but never them being there. Perhaps it's the way you came accross tho. oafc0000
He never said that, he said that under the current political system they got there so we have to accept it!
oafc0000
Like you said you only joined with the intentions of voting then leaving so I can't imagine you have gave them that much!
fraser_k
And I accept Ed M... but I am not backing him with my money... Get it ?
oafc0000
I have never said otherwise, that comment you made about him supporting the coalition had no foundation. I'm arguing you have gave money to the part, your comment that have gave money has no foundation as I could have gave more money than you and I'm not going to add up all the money as gave as its none of you business so stop attacking people on the basis of contributions. fraser_k
Wasn't you attacking me because I was no longer willing to contribute ?
oafc0000
I wasn't attacking you on your money basis, it was mearly the childish way that you would only be part of the Labour party if David Miliband was leader without giving anyone else a chance because unless you can predict the future you have no idea with Ed M is going to do for the party. It's pure speculation.
Pogues Mcgogues
So you say... So Labour people keep saying... I doubt you truely believe that... Given pogos joy I doubt he thinks it

pink_triangle
I have a worrying feeling this will end up like when the tories picked ids (who party members liked) above ken clarke (who labour feared). If politics is purely about winning elections I think they have picked the wrong horse. I can see alan johnson being ready to take over in 5 years if the coallition lasts. fraser_k
I've been reading Tony Blair's book lately and what really got me thinking was what John Smith would have been like if he had lived and became Prime Minister? I'm too young to remember anything about when he died or what he was like as a politician but from what I've heard off so many people was he was an honest man who went about his business was intregity. I know he's called 'the best Prime minister we never had' and I guess there was reasoning behind it...

fraser_k
There was a great moment quite recently when I was watching a VHS recording from about '93. It had a brief clip of the news saying "The Labour Party, today leads opinion polls by over 10 points. Labour leader John Smith....." then cutting out. Its a big what if. Many will maintain that the 97 majority wouldn't have been as big.
Pogues Mcgogues
By this afternoon 700 new members have joined the Labour Party. Good reflection on Ed's popularity.
