I can't bring myself to think I won't be attenting Glastonbury in 2012 but fact us, we won't.

So has anyone started thinking about what to do?

I don't think I can possibly work that weekend so it's either find another festival, but would probably be thinking it's not Glastonbury, or maybe a weekn in the sun?

It's hard because NOTHING even comes close to the wonders of GLastonbury

we've toyed with the idea of going camping for a couple of nights anyway, rain or shine. a mate knows a few places we could go that aren't actual campsites and noone minds as long as you tidy up after.

Stock up on recordings of previous Glastonbury's, set the tent up in the garden/yard and then watch everything over the weekend.

On the plus side you have a flushing loo, running water and cold beers from the fridge.

Think I shall be going to Le Mans 24hr race, still involves camping in a tent and lots of booze but a slightly different crowd and a bit less environmentally friendly!

Get a Life comes to mind.......Theres a big wide world beyond Glastonbury....Surley your life does not revolve around 4 or 5 days in a field in Somerset

Go to a different festival. There are plenty of small, independent brilliant festivals out there to be had. I cant believe you all only go to Glasto anyway

I'm not a Glasto veteran (yet) but having a year off doesn't really bother me too much as long as there aren't 175,000 all having a good time without me!

I can't actually remember what I did in 2006 - I seem to recall it was lovely weather though!

2012 isn't a bad one for a year off (certainly better than 2011, when the fallow year wasdue, would have been)

We've gout Euro 2012 and The Olympics.

Festival wise I think I'm going to give Rock Werchter a bash. Doubt it will compare to Glasto but the line-up always looks ace.
