Go on holiday or to a different festival prehaps...

I'm planning on going to Hungary and taking on board the sights and also a lot of the music, Hungary's a pretty good place for all that.

why not try a different festival?

in 2006 I went to Global Gathering (Daft Punk) and had a good time (though the facilities were dreadful)and enjoyed some good company with strangers/neighbours.

Beautiful days I can vouch for.

I have heard good things about latitude.

Bestival and Secret Garden Party both appeal to my sensibilities.

Going to the Olympics and filling the festival void with whatever is the consensus amongst friends. 1 year is like cold turkey, I dread the prospect of my first fallow year as a fully fledged glastite!

I like the idea of going to Roskilde, but all depends if my mate would come with - not gonna go to a festival abroad on my own

i've heard that both latitude and green man fest are like mini-glasto. although they're both later in the year.

Maybe latitude but I could be volunteering for the Olympics. It'll be nice to have a bit of extra money that year in the summer.

Am thinking of going to Brazil for carnival in February 2012, so could do with the money I would spend on Glastonbury for that. Am also tempted on going back to Sonar, which is the week before Glastonbury, in Barcelona. If I did Sonar and Glastonbury together, I think it would kill me.

I'll most likely be in Poland/Ukraine watching England play rubbish.

Went to Germany in 2006 for the last World Cup so that got me through that fallow year!

I remember the desolate feeling after the 2005 festival when I looked at the countdown site and it said 700 and something days till the next festival In 2006 I went to V festival and Leeds to make up for it, but obviously it didn't make up for it. We are considering going to Roskilde in 2012.
