My post Glasto cold has arrived!

I'm feeling a bit croaky, but I think that's from three consecutive evenings of singing at the very top of my voice (Bootleg Beatles, Pet Shop Boys, Saw Doctors) and a full two hour singing workshop on Saturday afternoon, followed by two days of constant Glastobating at MrP&aP, who stayed home this year... :P

A cold? Lightweights! I thought I was struggling with hayfever and asthma (forgot my inhaler) but it's feeling more like a chest infection now. Coupled with my bad back and a urine infection that I put off starting antibiotics for so I could drink over the weekend and I'm not in the best of shape right now...

Sneezed all the way home after being fine throughout the fest including daily Vit C drinks and milk-thistle (where's that thread gone pre-fest about what to take to help you cope next day?!?). Anyway, felt really rough once home and realised it was a cold..... again, just like after Bearded Theory. Must be getting older....... :(

On the plus side, no post-Glasto blues despite no more fests until September. Possibly the cold was the blues expressed physically, but the mind's been fine. Straight into work Tuesday and all's good. :)

I've been off work since returning home! Bad cough, knackered (to be expected)loads of snot and generally feeling like rubbish. Do you think it's just over doing it? There wasn't any rain, I kept nice and warm... Why isn't my OH ill?!

P.S Work have banned me from Glastonbury next year, albeit as a joke (I think)

Not a cold, but have Laryngitis - looked up the causes and can be viral or caused by 'using the voice too much - eg speaking or singing plus beathing in irritants - eg dust !

Think I know how I got that then

Voice is coming and going which a blessing for those around me :-)

Been snotting away since Thursday and almost completely lost my voice yesterday, it's just coming back a bit now. Annoyingly the cough I spent 3 months getting rid of has come back.

By Sunday evening my hangover had turned into something pretty solid that is STILL ongoing.

Think I had a bit of heatstroke, despite trying very hard to look after myself - combined with the aftermath of drink and drugs just made me puke all day Sunday (puking into long drops is pretty minging!).. then the sh*ts arrived (not idea when you are trying to jump around to Faithless). 10pm I was in the car doing the shivvering sweating thing whilst waiting for my friends.

I'm a teacher, so had to back to work on Monday so as not to take the p*ss regards having had Friday off.. it wasn't pleasant. It still wasn't pleasant on Thursday, Friday I kept some food down properly.. Saturday I did a 10k race with no shade and am now ill again.

I'm still going next year though. Ha.

went back to work on the wednesday, like most. Come friday afternoon, I went off sick!! Having developed a strange viral infection that manifested itself along the lines of a combination of vertigo and glandular fever... My immune system took a battering... And was happy to get wolloped by any virus that cared to latch onto my blood cells.

My boss was not best pleased of course. I'm back to work tomorrow (Tuesday), feeling about 90% sorted now. Got no choice really, as I'm off for another week from friday! :P

    • Israel and Lebanon agree to a ceasefire...problem is Hezbollah, and problem with Hezbollah is Israel. Israel should withdraw, put onus solely on Hezbollah...who are already weakened, which would then strengthen credibility of the Lebanese govt. But with Netanyahu in charge that is unlikely.
    • I saw that the payment method is contactless wristbands - I understand you collect them at the festival site and can top them up there as well? Yes, there are top up points, keep the recepe if you want to withdraw the money in the end   How much does food and drink usually cost at the festival? We would like to know how much money we should prepare for the festival. Beer, Wine etc. 5€, Gin tonic, Whishkey Cola were 6-6.5€, food 10€    Is there a bus from the festival site to the city center? And are there any stops along the way? No offical info yet, but ussualy there are free festival buses from Ljubljanica to festival site, with few stops on the way. Nice to get to the festival but crowded from festival back to the city.   Where is the best place to find an Uber/Bolt to return from the festival site? Petrine ulica   Are there any shaded areas to take a break from the strong sun? Yes, i think there is some.
