Little charidee bet then?

Liverpool finish in top 3 i'll donate £10 to Wateraid?

Finish outside of the top 3 and you can top up the BMF by £10?

More than happy to take the bet - tho once you've said who BMF are. I want to know who I'd be rewarding.

Tho I will make clear I'm far from confident that I'll win. I'll take the bet on the basis of fun, not because I have much belief in that being right.

Has anyone noticed that a bunch of players that might be expected to be definites for England u-21s were left out of the squad announced yesterday?

It's looking like Pat is going to name a squad full of kids for next week's friendly - Walcott, Johnson, Wiltshire, etc. Which should be interesting. I wonder if Lennon is going to be someone who makes that "young" squad, or if his WC has blown his chances.

But here's betting that when it comes to the qualie in a few weeks it'll be back to the same players as went to the WC. :(

Meanwhile, Lumpard and Defoe have been getting their excuses in early for them performing pooorly next week - which will become highly amusing if they're not actually in the squad.

Yep defo good news. No quotes as yet from anyone at Arsenal though. But I hear Cesc is making a statement today.

Just reading thru that article it says...

"By having Fábregas clear the air, Wenger believes Arsenal can focus fully on what he expects to be the breakthrough season for his young squad." - which made me laugh. He's not said that before.:lol:

Every player has ambition but for most there is a level that ambition can be sacraficed for money. If they offer him enough he will probably accept reserve team football.

tho there's greater temptation to the player than just the cash!

If the player has belief on their own abilities, then they'll join believing that there's the chance that they could end up as first choice - and there's not many players who would prefer to play for Reading than Liverpool (no disrespect meant to Reading).

    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.

    • Knocked Loose have been announced for Wacken, that's them at Bloodstock as well   I think they'd headline over Malev
    • I hate tradmill running with a passion lol. Yeah the 1km reps are the one along with hill reps. That's what I did last time.  It's very a very hot summer and job circumstances to stay at the consistent level I was for the marathon earlier in the year. I've got a full set of the main distance new PBs this year. 10k isn't a problem most days but even today I went out deciding just over 5 mile was enough between recovery cruise and steady.
    • There is also a solid argument from Seventeen already that not enough people actually care if they book them also.
