I've never seen them live, but I've sung Somewhere Only We Know as a duet on Singstar. At the end we were both like "THAT WAS F*CKING INTENSE", eyes wide, high fiving everyone in the room, blood rushing and hearts thumping...

I reckon I've seen them 3/4 times circa Hopes & Fears time and certainly don't recall them being rubbish.

I think they could be a great sing-along if they don't play much off the dishwater new EP.

On a Day Like Today is a fantastic song, very emotive in my opinion.

I think it's mostly just that the singer isn't very cool looking - which is just prejudice & snobbery because he can't help having a fat tory boy face - people should be more tolerant! I think there were a few good songs on the first album but they have bored me rigid since.

Anyway - I may well go and see them - I haven't worked out what they might clash with yet, but they have a strong Glastonbury memory attachment for me of being stood in front of the telly in 2005 when I couldn't get a ticket singing along to Somewhere Only We Know - "Tell me when you're gonna let me in, i'm getting old and I need somewhere to begin" and sobbing my heart out!

I'm afraid it now feels like a bit of a Glastonbury classic for me "I walked across an empty land - I knew the pathway like the back of my hand..."

I have seen them several times as well and they have always been good, but it will be a bitch of a walk from the Pyramid after Slash to watch Keane and then back to the Pyramid for Jack Johnson

Whatever you say about Keane, you have to admit Keane on the Avalon stage is a massive suprise. I dont like them but I wouldnt of imagined them playing anywhere but the pyramid. This has to be one of the 'bands playing lower than youd expect' slots

Also, looking at the Friday times on the avalon website http://fieldofavalon.co.uk/lineup.html the Friday seems to start at 13.00 wheres on Sat and Sun the first band is on at 11.30. Is it possible that another band could slot in here?

Nah, they used to be big, but they've had their day.

The Lightning Seeds, Gomez, last year's Wonder Stuff -- they were all as big as Keane (though less dull), and now they're a good fit for the Avalon Stage.

I couldn't imagine Keane playing the Pyramid in 2010, even as an opener.

I would have loved to see Keane again after a few years out. Still a good band live and some decent tunes. Unfortunately, theyre up against Ray Davies so thats scuppered it
