The only festivals so far to announce this are TITP and Oxygen

On the oxygen website it says this

''Unfortunately, due to illness, Wolfmother have had to cancel their full European tour including their appearance at OXEGEN.

Airbourne have also had to cancel their OXEGEN show due to scheduling difficulties.

We’d like to apologise to fans on behalf of the bands for any disappointment caused. More artists for OXEGEN will be announced soon.''

Airbourne should still be playing Download then before that one starts up, but its clear Wolfmother have gone it seems. Download aren't commenting on it, I sent a twitter this morning and nothing back...

Andy has responded saying he's trying to sort things out [im guessing meaning replacements], looks like they've pulled out then or he would have said they're still playing.

Wish we could have some official confirmation, isn't Oxygen Live Nation? how come they have made an official announcement and Download haven't, I know John runs Oxygen too as well as Download, so Download should have been aware at the same time

Anyone for Down? Or with Andys form of pulling big bands out of his arse maybe a Foo's set Green day are also around these parts in a couple of weeks. It's really going to need to be something special to stop a mutiny about the friday but we've only got ourselves to blame, we've moaned about not having AC/DC for years and now we've finally got them it looks like there demands are screwing the festival up any other band demanding this and Copping would have told them to take a walk. The major problem now is its down to AC/DC to approve the band, am i right in thinking that Andy said many moons ago that as part of the agreement with AC/DC they get to have input on the bands that play before them?? That's probably why friday has been such a screw up.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
