let's 'ave it!!!
As far as I can see this hasn't been done yet. Who do you THINK will play? I've included some of the names mentioned on the threads and left some out who seem to be booked elsewhere that date... Edited May 25, 2010 by let's 'ave it!!! danbailey80
I would add Noel Gallagher and The Gorilaz to the list - both far far more likely than th erest you have there..
fowls
I'm just going to say Led Zepp because it's there and I hope all my optimism will pay off. If Led Zepp weren't in the poll, I'd say McCartney or Coldplay.

ThomThomDrum
I thought this was going to be a realistic poll? You dont list the Chems yet you do list The Stones, Prince, Led Zep, & Bowie!!!! And then you say Biffy! This aint realistic!

dan05delaney
Foo Fighters... Dave would jump at the chance, its the only festival they haven't played in the last 5 years, they were rumoured and apparently in talks last year but Dave wanted to focus on TCV, but they have a gig at download and then not playing again till july... it could also link in with TCV taking the special guests slot at the park that evening.... mandypants
I'd prefer someone else, but I suspect it will be Coldplay. Never mind, I'll be elsewhere
twig14
Of your list, Coldplay are likely as a favour to the organisers. The next 6 are extremely unlikely (not impossible). Most aren't on tour or are signed to other festivals or aren't even together. I don't believe they'll move a band to replace the number 1 headliner, I think they'll try to get someone in so people don't feel like they've been shortchanged for the 40th anniversary. So that's Dizzee and Flaming Lips staying where they are. Biffy Clyro are not big enough to be third headliner on the Other Stage, there is no way they will be asked to fill in. Other: Radiohead, may choose to help out the Eavii, but aren't touring. Chem's, again as a favour and are touring, but clash with Fatboy Slim and The Orb. A large proportion of the crowd will not be into dance music meaning the F'Lips and smaller stages will get mobbed. Gorillaz, Damon says he doesn't want to do two years in a row at Glasto and there are question marks over their elaborate stage show (although there must have been plans in place for U2's?) For me, Them Crooked Vultures have the star individuals to draw a crowd, the rock credentials to provide continuity to the bill, and have been touring recently. I also still like my Outkast shout. plaskins
Grudgingly voted for Coldplay. I wouldn't be very surprised if they end up being U2s replacement.. I'd love to see Led Zep, Gorillaz, Noel Gallagher or the Chems step up to the plate..
budvar
Wisdom of the crowd at work again i.e. you ask a lot of people a question and aggregate the responses you'll get the answer. In this case the likelyhood of Coldplay is shining through. I'm ever more certain it will be them.

02dsouzad
God I hope it's not TCV. One very average album only. I can see them going the way of The Good, The bad and The Queen...

sifi
Foo's would nail it and they're on the right side of not being too heavy (which is a blinker I wish Glasto would loosen up on a little
