see, difference is, you've seen probably every band ever... and have a very varied taste in music

i wanna see some good bands for my money.. some bands i like... i fully understand that glastonbury isnt just about the music, but if they squeeze one extra band in that i totally love, then it'll be better than shuffling the bands around that are there already, and having a unheard of band play for free at as the replacement for the shuffle around..

Left field idea and probably get your coat time but what do we reckon to possibility of John Mayer? He is around in Europe until T in the Park and although relatively unknown he is an amazing live act better suited to a headline slot than the midday slot he had in 2008. It could be just what he needs to boost his UK profile and in my mind would be an adequate replacement (not that I have anything against Dizzee Rascal but I don't think he is ready). I'd recommend looking up Live in Los Angeles on a legal streaming site.

Failing that I'd happily settle for a Coldplay shoe in but I'd rather see them take a risk and have a U2, Coldplay and another next year!

The other thought I had was Pendulum but then I came to my senses :P

Just caught the end of this thread. Has the timetable for Tugger's dumps been posted yet? To be honest it's not really my thing but there seems to certainly be quite a fanclub in this thread so thought I'd see what the fuss was about, plus surely the great thing about Glastonbury is experiencing something new.

Having said that I will be disappointed if he's announced as the Friday night headliner.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
