Rabid & I have both received emails saying the tickets have been dispatched, but the emails themselves are wildly different. His is far more 'wordy' & has a link explaining the way the tix are being sent/need signing for, whereas mine just says, ticket re no.... has been dispatched, you should receive it in 2-3 days etc....

What were everyone else's emails like?

Had a brief email last Wedneday saying tickets had been dispatched. Had another email this evening, much more detailed, saying that tickets will be delivered tomorrow by DX Secure.

I'm guessing the first email was when See sent the tickets to DX, second email when DX dispatches.

Not gonna leave the house tomorrow :P

2 of my 3 tickets have been dispatched and they were delivered yesterday to my home address but no one was in. I have been sent a e-mail with a contact number to re-organise delivery, its a automated service and took me about 10 minutes to do each ticket because they all have different reference numbers you have to book them individually.

They are now set to be delivered to my work address, hopefully tomorrow. Any one can sign for them as long as they have some of your id. My only concern is that it looks like each ticket will be addressed to the ticket holder, not to the person who booked and paid for the tickets. Depending how fussy the delivery guy is I will be able to sign for my ticket but not my friends ticket. If this is the case I am in trouble as they are out of the country hence why I am sorting everything out.

With regards to order of dispatching the tickets it seems totally random to me. I paid for my ticket in full on the first day and that has now been dispatched. My friend paid his balance deadline day and that has been dispatched, his brother paid at christmas and that is still waiting to be dispatched

Fingers crossed for 2 of my tickets tomorrow

What time of day are you getting emails to say your tickets have been dispatched, are they at random times or do they send out the emails in bulk each day / night??

Just interested as I'm checking my email every 3 minutes and it's doing my head in!

On 19th May I got this from See:

"Your Tickets were despatched on Wednesday 19th May 2010

"They were sent by Special Delivery postage and should be with you in the next 2-3 days."

And on the ticket tracker at See I read:

"Tickets have been despatched from our offices to [Mr xxx i.e. me]

on 19/05/2010 sent Special Delivery to [my address]:

Well those message are up the creek, as it has not arrived and anyway DX is doing the despatching. Maybe SEE is just blanket emailing/messaging everyone with the same message. Duh...

Still no email for me!! But I do have 2 ref numbers think 1 is for tickets and 1 is for campavan!

If I put one ref in I get a message saying in stock ready for despatch shortly, If I put the other ref in it says been despatched to DX so who knows!!!!! I just want my ticket!!!!

I'm not bothered about not having my ticket yet -- that won't worry me until a week before the festival.

But saying it's been dispatched "Special Delivery" if it hasn't been is a bit much. I've just wasted 10 minutes of my own time, and that of a Royal Mail postman.

Houston ... we DON'T have a problem :P

One very nice DX/SMS man has just come to the door bearing gifts ... yaaaaay tickets :lol::lol:

BTW, I only got one email from See last week saying "tix have been dispatched by SPECIAL DELIVERY POST and will be delivered in 2/3 days" that's all and nothing else since. No emails from DX/SMS and no real mention of anything other than the implied use of a Royal Mail service. Good old See :P

... wanders off to stroke tickets affectionately :P

EDIT: The envelope has some additional printing on it which appears to be DX/SMS references and depot details etc. and included in which is the date 14th June - presumably the latest acceptable delivery date. When See have used SMS in the past, they have always c*cked up the emails they send out because the "dispatch" email has always meant dispatched to SMS for subsequent delivery as/when SMS fancy delivering it rather than actually being an advice that tix are definitely due to arrive any time soon. Having said that, SMS have always delivered my tix within a week regardless of the latest date printed on the envelope.

    • I too am always a bit blurred on what/who constitutes a legend slot but would Sting fit that bill?  Those there said his IoW slot was v good and he has enough of a songbook imo for a Sun afternoon if he uses the Police's 1st 2 albums for a fair chunk of it
    • Thing is, I'd have said that as well.   But then she inexplicably ended up on the Wilderness lineup and that changes everything. I reckon if that goes well, which it will, then she's very much in the picture.
    • This has probably been discussed a hundred times already on efests but what constitutes a legend? I know some of it is my age but I don't see eurithmics or Duran Duran as legend status. Neil young or nils lofgren then yes and neither of them have overly troubled the charts. Duran Duran and indeed the eurithmics I would put in the 80s category and whilst it would be ok (human league at isle of wight we're fabulous) they just arent in my mind legend status.  Zombies played same festival- i would take that.
    • friendly tonight delayed , pitch draining pretty quick to be fair .... not sure it bodes well for other games with potential fixture backlog
