I just dont know what the thought process is when stations choose pundits. Every year I think they cant get worse and they actually do. Apart from seedorf the rest range from bland to clueless. You would think in the job description it would include knowledgable about international football but you get the impression most have never seen a game outisde the premiership or champions league on tv. 4 years ago we had leanardo, o neil and strachan who were all good, the replacements have been shocking,

I tell you what - A decent game wouldn't go amiss.

I'm guessing first matches are always a little cagey because you really don't want to lose it, but SA - Mexico still remains the best game so far. This world cup needs a humdinger to get things going

I agree, the guardian podcast is good, they give a good balanced coverage to all their nations and seem to know their stuff. The radio 5 international podcast is also excellent. This is frustrating because if the bbc are willing to pay the likes of tim vickery to give expert opinion when very few are listening, why not pay them to give their opinions to a large audience. The BBC isnt as bad as itv, however shearer competes with redknapp as the worst pundit on tv. The only advantag of him being there is when seedorf is on with him and makes him look stupid whent discussing tactics.

People say the bbc are good but i guarntee tomorrow they spend the first half hour before the game discussing how great torres, villa and fabregas are. Something the entire audience already knows.

Tell you what, a shock could be on the cards here. Robinho looks great, but it's taken Brazil 40 minutes to even slightly stretch Korea. And if the crybaby had gotten a flick on from that long shot it would've been 1-0.

5 days of shite so far. Nobody has looked any good at all. Just shows that there are no walkovers now..all teams are pretty organised and difficult to beat. An early goal here might have made the difference.

Pundits.. well the lot of em get on my f**kin wick esp Davids and Vierra here.

Headybythedoor..his f**kin phone ringing when Gary Walkers is talking to him.

Southgate is ok tbh and all of a sudden... Chiles is doin me knapper in trying to bring the relaxed feel of MoTD2 to this.nah.

Holby City, Spring Watch or Goks Fashion Fix all seem more appealing atm...

(and bang goes me own f**kin sweep too)

I agree. This is how to play defensive football. They're not timewasting, they're not cheating, and apart from a brief spell of Brazilian dominance they weren't even looking to cling on to a goalless draw.

The fact of the matter is that the players aren't good enough, but North Korea have been fantastic tonight. Kim Jong-Il should give up that dictatorship lark and become a professional football manager. On modern wages he'd probably be able to afford a nicer house.

2-0 is a really harsh scoreline IMO.

the free £10 bets are with WillHill and have been advertised during the HT breaks.

Best one is Paddy Power iv seen... put up to £50 on--and they give you the same back.

I couldn`t do anything at 1/10.

1/2 is shortest i`d go in footy.

commentator....on the goal

"fanstastic swerve he put on that ball"if that was any other team than brazil.. he wouldnt have said that.

It makes me f**kin sick how time after time the media spill piss and jism over their designers extolling the vitues of Brazil.

It has been a lot of years since we have seen a Brazil team fully sweep sides away. The only "magic" on show tonight has been a few sidesteps from the Man City fav...and what did they lead to? f**k all.

I`m turning into what i saw of me Dad in these situations... a cynical (but right) owld twat.

den needs a kaka B)

I've seen the ads for the William Hill offer but don't actually know how/ where you activate the 3 free £10 bets on the WH site.

    • 1000% agree with this. I was there last night, ridiculous how good he was.
    • Hi Everyone!   I need your help. I'm trying work out who was playing at The Wishing Well at 3am on the Monday morning at the 2025 festival - this was once the official setlist had ended. The music was down tempo, bass heavy, kept evolving, just mesmerising. Anyone have any ideas? and/or was there as well?
