Cheers for the lens advice guys.

I think as well as the 18-55mm kit lense I might treat myself a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS.

Would that be suffice for distance shots?

I have a 17 - 85 mm lens, which is brilliant.

Although I have a variety of other lenses including a 50mm wide angle lens, the 17-85 is the one I use the most, great for long and short distance and goes to F4.0-5.6 so not too bad. I'll probably just take this lens with me as its a great all rounder!

I must agree with you that the 50mm prime lens is a great lens, and offers a great f stop. Pretty handy f1.4 for low light conditions, and it also offers great sharpness, you can find a 50 mm f 1.8 for as little as £50.

Im not sure what camera to take to Glasto this year. I don't really want to take my D300 just because it would ruin the whole festival (and my life) if something happened to it. Im considering taking a medium format camera because i just have so much fun shooting with it but then i think that maybe its a bit too cumbersome and the cost of taking all that film would be a little too much. What to do?

Just a quick question for you photography enthusiasts.

I recently found two disposable cameras which I thought I'd lost...Used for Reading festival 2001 and Reading festival 2002.

Would they still develop ok...or am I just as well to chuck them in the bin?

I developed a film that had been exposed many years ago once. It was OK, very nice to get the photos, they'd fogged up a bit though over the years until development.

I tend to use it a lot for concert photography as I don't have a full frame and the crop factor doesn't help it much. But mounted on a 5D will give it a complete different story

That's what held me back from the 50mm f/1.4. If I had a full-frame I'd be all over it. I wished I'd gone FF in the beginning, now I've ended up with a few EF-S lenses.

I learnt my lesson, all my new lenses are for full frame, so now all i need is the full frame camera. I have used a 5D and the results are jaw dropping

My friend has a 5D, I really know what you mean, jaw dropping in deed. I've another friend who has a crop Nikon, he really wants to go full-frame for the low noise as well.
