JOKE? she lost all credibility after the monstrosity that was american pie now she's just a washed out old slag who adopts third world orphans(sorry my mistake orphans don't have any parents do they!) to try and make amends with god for the suffering shes put mankind through for the last twenty years (i admit pre 90 she churned out some decent tunes) Guy richie lucky man got away from the mental cow while he still could. anyway hi everybody im SNUFFBOXBILL NICE TO MEET YOU ALL MWAHAHAHAHA :P

Ok call me mad but there is three TBA slots on Friday/Saturday/Sunday which there usually isn't (am i right?)

Now we know that Emily and Michael like everyone to moan a bit about how the line up is and then they release some amazing acts and everyone starts going WOW but as far as I know they are usually later on maybe 2nd, 3rd on the list. So maybe this year they want to really start the stages with a bang. Now I think it could look like this?

Friday: Coldplay

Saturday: I would say Gaga but now we have Shakira so possibly Massive Attack?

Sunday: The Libertines?

Also the other stage on Sunday has to Pendulum surely.. they do every bloody festival every year and they would be a perfect act to get people bouncing around?

Just my thoughts that will no doubt change in 10 mins

In terms of the Friday opening act(s) there are still several TBAs so I am thinking they might have something up their sleeve - maybe announce the following all in one go playing at the same time (say mid-day Friday) and you just pick which one you want to go and see. Would be a spectacular way to kick the 40th off.

Coldplay - rumour just won't go away

Pixies - ditto

Doves - bit of wishful thinking !

Morcheeba - more wishful thinking but Skye is back with them so why not ?

Squeeze - long been a TBC but still no slot on the line-up

Alabama 3 - have opened Pyramid before and are on-site so why not

Waterboys - have opened Pyramid before - can't believe they are not playing 40th

Blondie - an early rumour

Madness - have also been rumoured

Robert Plant - have also been rumoured

Rolf Harris

That lot would really spread folks around.

Well Emily did say something about headliner-standard bands doing opening slots this year. A lot of the stuff she says ends up being exaggerated or ends up not happening, but generally there is a little bit of truth there.

So it could be something like:

Fri: Coldplay

Sat: Jay-Z

Sun: Thom Yorke/Atoms for Peace

More realistically it will probably be one of the above, and a couple of lesser known acts.

      Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great

      Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
