If you've been going that long, it makes your comment about the line-up on a particular stage even more peculiar. It's a festival, maybe one of the most diverse ones around, and the idea is to pop along and have a look at what's on at the dozens of stages that are spread throughout the site. Or were you hoping to pitch your camping chair and get set for the day?

Glasto never has a top flight line up because it cant afford it, and it often has bands that it breaks. This means past years always look better than they felt at the time.

I'm sorry but i have to take issue with this. Surely having two of the biggest live draws in the world in the shape of U2 and Muse goes some way to "top flight". As for "never" meeting this standard, I seem to recall the last ten years alone have seen such mid range acts as The Who, David Bowie,Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Oasis, Kings Of Leon, The Killers, REM, Roger Waters and Radiohead gracing the stage. Glastonbury offers the best in every sense of the word and rarely disappoints on the quality of it's performers - I make an exception for No Doubt however!

It's all there and I ain't complaining one little bit. Nobody does it better so we may as well thank our lucky stars that we will be there in June, prepare to dive in head first and enjoy it to the max.

If you're the sort of person who buys their ticket for Glastonbury in the hope that you will like the line up, and then don't like the line up, you can cancel your ticket with See, and let someone who wants to go to to Glastonbury because it's Glastonbury go instead, as far as I'm concerned.

As for this Scissor Sisters before Muse, Dizzy before U2 debate...

I blame those "please fill out my survey" b*st*rds with their new fangled Business Studies/Festival Management Degrees thinking "Hmmm, if we mix up the genres, we can get the crowds moving between the stages more and hence through the markets and hence, more market spend".

The line-up could still end up being something speical since the TBC slots seem to suggest that there will be a few surprises. As much as I wanted to know the full line-up, the announcement should have been delayed untill they could reveal the TBC slots IMO.

Been last few years, each time there have been at least a couple of acts who I really wanted to see.

This year, nothing in the published line up grabbed me that much & was a little dis-heartend. That was until I watched the Julian Temple DVD or started talking to my pal who I meet once a year there. Goose bumps rise and excitment takes over at just the thought of going. And of course If there is no band in particular to see, have the luxury of attending Trash City/Arcadia or whatever that area is called this year, during the headline acts, when it's not so busy. Or maybe I'll get to the Circus/Cabaret area for some premium acts, I didn't get time for last year, I could watch a new or classic movie, or just let the music play in the background, breath in & soak up the atmosphere, watch others enjoy themselves whilst replenishing my battery for another year.

Oh and that's without having the luxury while walking round, of letting my ear guide me to bands I never heard before on one of maybe 30 - 40 stages, getting blown away at how good they are & wondering why I never knew of them
