I get the feeling that there may be a demographic split going on here.

Its quite clear obviously that Brothers to many people on these here boards is the greatest drink since mothers milk but there is also a vast quantity of people on here that sail on the good ship Scrumpy and I get the teensiest feeling that those sailors may shall we say not made in the 80s?

I know this is cheeky and at the end of the day totally pointless really but just to prove a point...

state your age and if you are a die hard Brothers fan or a can take it or leave it and actually Burrowill is the best cider at Glastonbury fan

First tasted Brothers in 2003...it was 8.4%, still, pink (cranberry flavoured) and called Grog. The day they made it fizzy, mass marketed it, sold it profusely in student bars and reduced the percentage was the day I stopped drinking it. (

but on the other hand brothers is a refreshing drink in hot summer weather, but a little sweet for my taste

Delicious as the Brothers Strawberry is and refreshing as the Brothers Lemon is, there's no substitute for the true taste of Glastonbury. Medium/sweet Burrowhill down at the cider bus is the tipple for this fella

I may even brave the dry Burrowhill again this year!

did try the 'flat' cider last year at the fest by accident, was not very impressed, i also like the odd kopparberg (scuse my french!!)

I'm 21 and do love a bottle or several of brothers festy strength.

But I do find love proper scrumpy, cloudy, non-fizzy ciders like old rosie and addlestones as I find these go down a lot nicer and I tend to drink these ones the most. Definitely getting hold of some Burrowhill soon

Don't mind a brothers and will generally have a few over the weekend but prefer a nice medium-sweet at the bus.

25 and it has to be real cider all the way for me. Brothers is drinkable but is far from a great cider. The lemon grog they used to do was pretty tasty though.

18 and I'm a fan of both, tend to drink brothers when I don't want to get TOO drunk (obviously this is different at glasto given the percentage mark up). Jacques is disgusting and although I will drink gaymers/magners under duress, it's not really cider is it?

Actually always been a fan of most cider as long as it's not too dry...will try it all, and generally drink it all, although Woodpecker was always too sweet, and the Koppabergs just give me heartburn after a couple. Def not Ye Olde English...bleurgh.

So Bow, Scrumpy Jack, Magners, Brothers, Merrydown, Burrowhill and various other scrumpy will do for me. Or is that just being greedy?

41 close call. Tend to go to ciderbus more as it is easier to get served. Brothers does get sickly after a while. I do recommend the hot cider at night cinemon spiced and very nice!

I'll drink anything.

Tend to go to the cider bus first, drink my cider whilst wandering then get the next at brothers bar and keep wandering.

However, if they sold brothers at all the bars I would probably stick to that

Love real cider but still drink plenty of brothers at Glastonbury (don't touch it outside of the fest really) but only tend to drink the lemon variety since they introduced it.

Brothers et al is just fizzy alcopops for kids, having said that, a nice cold festy strength one on a hot afternoon is ok, but more than that is too much sugarfizz fer a 50yr old like me. Strawb and toffee apple is just an abortion. Vile!

Burrowhill on the other hand is a proper job cider and will make you smile when youre sick!

Should be drunk from a 5litre plastic container for maximum effect tho - ol skool stylee!

Burp
