BBC introducing stage moved?

Boo. I liked it in the Park. Saw some good stuff in there, but do appreciate the point about lack of audience. At one point I was in there with a maximum of 10 other people watching an asian women doing a DJ set. She was pretty good too and deserved a bigger audience.

I agree that The Park was the wrong place for the BBC stage, but I'm not sure the Dance Village is the right place to move it to - there is enough sound bleed in that part of the site as it is.

I'd be inclined to say put it near the JP stage somehow.

I can't keep up with the changes to the site this year (and last year) so I'm really looking forward to seeing this year's map. Changes that will affect the layout for me:

  • Cinema field not the cinema field - tent moved near the Acoustic Stage

  • BBC Introducing Stage Moved

  • Leftfield moved

  • Queens Head moved

  • New camping areas for 2010

  • Jazzworld name change

  • New bit around Shangri-La

I'm going to need to study this map thoroughly so I know where I'm going!!!

As for the vacated space in The Park - easy. A second Red Flag. More ale. Solved.

I'm sure Neil mentioned that it's not going to be called Jazzworld this year, but we don't know what to. Yet.

Purely a name change though - not a major rehaul of the type of acts who'll perform there.

Wasn't it called The One World Stage one year?

I'm getting confused now.

On efestivals rumours lists, there's a Jazzworld stage listed with Corrine Bailey whatsherface listed.

And then there's also a Jazz/Blues stage listed with Sandi Thom on it.

Are these the same stages then? And if they aren't where's the blues stage going to be?

I think you're becoming a bit confuddled seef sir.

Jazz/Blues Stage - different. A new, small stage.

Jazzworld Stage - won't be called Jazzworld Stage this year. But will act the same as it always have.

I am properly confuddled now. They aren't going to call the Jazz World Stage the Blues/Jazz stage? Because that might just finish me off, and see the men in white coats coming to get me.

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
