I had to go and listen to the 6Music set didnt I and hear the new track (at around 1 hour in)!?!

It samples 'Video Killed the Radiostar' and is just a tad filthy! Certainly a nice mix of old and new directions...what is meesa going to do?

Ok, having slept on it am veering towards Mr Wonder...same reason as r0cky and William above. Plus there's solace to be taken in having seen 'em at Glasto before (and probably them being there again in the future), so will feel I'm gonna miss far less then i would by missing a one-off gig by SW.

Stevie. No question. Seen Orbital three times in the last eight years or so, each one becoming a progressively duller copy of the previous time.

I know their sets have meant to have improved since I saw them last time, but a real live Motor Town legend or a couple of blokes from Brizzle shoving in some DAT tapes and jumping around?

I mean, I don't even like the fact that they've dropped the Hartnell speech from the start of Doctor ?.

Think it will be Stevie all the way for me!! :P

I mean I love Orbital & have seen them many many times but there lies the reason for me choosing Stevie over them. Orbital & Glastonbury - I've done several times. Stevie Wonder - never seen him & I get the feeling that this will be an absolute classic Glastonbury appearance.

Am now just waiting for them to throw a spanner in the works by putting someone else on at the same time that I really really want to see! :P

I would only be going to see Stevie Wonder because I could say I have seen him and that is all. Orbital I am going to see because I love their music and have always wanted to see them

Hell no. I'm actually physically excited about seeing him. Butterflies in the stomach type stuff. I'm hoping for hairs on my neck, undefinable sensation in the pit of my stomach type reaction when he starts playing some uptempo numbers.

I've said it on here before, this is the first time I actually want to see a main-stage headliner at Glasto.

Apart from Roger Waters, and there's some disagreement as to whether he actually headlined or not.

i'm destined to never see Orbital at Glasto it seems. they've gone up against some top acts.

02 - Robert Plant

04 - Muse

this year... not just Stevie, but now it seems Jackson Browne in the acoustic. the Wonder/Browne clash is what's getting me, and i'd love to see Orbital at glasto someday but not this year.

Oh shitburgers. I've only just heard this!

Typical Glasto scheduling in full effect.

My Orbital love is legendary, but I really was hoping to take a gander at Stevo for some FUN and having never seen him live obviously. I'll admit to probably only knowing the hits (and possibly only a handful of those).

Mates of mine who saw him at Manchester (last year?) said the first hour of the gig was arse - noodly bobbins that Stevie "felt like playing" but the second hour was just hit, after hit ,after hit. You'd hope he'd try and keep a festival gig more like the latter, but then after the incredibly dull Springsteen last year who knows.

I must say after the other Orbital thread I'm not entirely suprised to find that some folks didn't rate the earlier gigs last year. By Manchester they were on blistering form though, so this will be a tough choice for me.

Oh can we drop the very silly 'DAT tape' nonsense. Either you're taking the piss or have a VERY limited knowledge of what technically goes into a live performance by either Orbital, The Chems or even The Prodigy...

“We’re thinking, what would the live set need as a lift? I’m really into the idea of the only way you’re going to hear new tracks is to come and see us live.”

Dont stop me now & VKTRS.. genius or clutching at straws??

2nd or 3rd time of listening its veering toward the former
