Food money

Hi,

Of course I'll take basic food like some fruit, crisps, and some vegetarian sausage rolls and things, but how much money would you advise to take for Thursday afternoon to Monday afternoon?

As for being Vegetarian I imagine I wont be limited?

Depends how big an appetite you've got.

No problems with veggie food - stalla a plenty.

£20 a day should feed you well.

Even though there are plenty of stalls I still take a camping stove to boil a kettle for the late night hot chocolates and the first thing in the morning coffee.

I also take a reasonable supply of late night munchies.

last year was my first time at glastonbury & i took far too much snacky food with me, most of it ended up coming back with so i would say dont take too much

budget about £4 for brekkie, £5/£6 for lunch & dinner depending on how much you eat

if you take your own booze with you you can save quite a bit of money but deffo try some cider from the brothers bar & the cider bus

I think i'll invest in taking a bit more than I thought I'd need. If I took a stove & kettle I suppose I could live on pot noodles

Top tip for keeping you cans cold........let the beers chill between your tent fly sheet and the grass!!

But the Burrow Hill Cider Bus is a must......just don't mix the extra dry cider with the apple brandy, unless you want a good nights sleep!!!

I always work on the theory of £15/day will buy 3 meals. And those are good, decent sized meals. You could do it cheaper. I budget for £20/day so that I have a fiver for snacks if I want them. I rarely spend all of that.

I am on a real budget this year in general. Usually any kind of budget goes out the window for Glastonbury but I think that I need to be a little sensible this year so may bring something like some veggie sausage rolls that I can snack on in the mornings. I'm always the first one up anyway so just end up wondering off for brekkie on my own! That said, I enjoyed wondering to the Park on my own last year in the early morning sunshine and grabbing some toast. It was sort of relaxing and gave me time to collect my thoughts on my own!

I usually only eat two meals a day at Glasto so I'd budget for around £13? I'm taking crisps, juice and party rings with me. I never eat the other stuff that I take!

my friend always takes tins of fruit & i can never be bothered cos i think 'ahh they'll be too heavy' and then when i see him eating them in the morning im really jealous cos they look so good

i don't take any food with me, too much effort..getting the train from Stoke , cant take enough alcohol with me as it is - so i give food a miss, but then the whole festival costs me a fortune I take like 400 with me or something

Eating?, pork and stuffing cob when I get there, go to about 3 venders in and hour on Saturday then pick something up on the way home. Possibly not the healthiest way to do it but I'm just not hungry!
