The Brits are always a joke, The Brats are always the proper award cerenomy. I was shocked Cheryl didnt win anything its that bad.

To be fair to Robbie he has a good back catalogue and is always good value live I think. And they are running short of people to give it to as well

Smash HIts party as whoever said. Robbie needs to give up now. And WHAT did Fearne Cotton have on the side of her head? Looked like roadkill! :P

Not a great Brits fan, but do like all sorts of music hence sat and watched the Brits

Peter Kay - Priceless if you really listened, some very funny lines

Noel - utter nobgoblin

Florence- gorgeous as always. Love Lungs as a chillout album

Lady Gaga - thought her performance was spot on - proves she is better than a lot of people think... and I'd love to design for her - awesome and great to be different

Rest I will pass on !

Would personally love to see Robbie play Glastonbury! Now how 'bout Depeche Mode are finally awarded the Lifetime Achievement award next year...

[/qu

I was thinking the same, as it happens. They are well overdue some real recognition.

zzz How anyone can argue Robbie doesn't deserve it is beyond belief

Williams has sold more albums in the UK than any other British solo artist in history

His album sales stands at over 55 million worldwide

Williams was entered in The Guinness Book of World Records when, after he announced his World Tour for 2006, 1.6 million tickets were sold in one single day

He appears in the list of the all-time Top 100 biggest selling albums in the United Kingdom six times

I'm not disputing his record sales, the argument was him against DM who have sold over 100 million worldwide. Additionally, a man who is only 35 I don't feel like has quite achieved a lifetime status when he has so much more to give, has only really been around since the 1990s and TBH for the past 6 years has been either shit or an alien chasing recluse.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
