We did that last year :P

A bit big for just two of us though and a f**ker to put up.

Seemed silly to just leave it there though when we could put it to good use at other times, lend it to mates etc.

Oh and the two seperate 'rooms' made me worry about people pinching stuff.

Yeah I agree with that. The problem is you have no real way of telling how hard carrying your gear will actually be between three people, over a long distance. Every year I go we learn from our mistakes and get more and more prepared, but each time that walk seems just as difficult. I think at one point my friend and I were close to giving up, after we found the strength to carry on we were both very grouchy with eachother for the rest of the slog.

Everything seemed brilliant when we collapsed on the grass at our pitch and pulled out a couple of cans and a cigarette though.

Only went for my first time last year, so not much to go on, but id have to say the distance to get anywhere. It's not that im lazy or don't like walking far but it's just on the thursday last year, being my first full day, I decided to explore by walking around the site (thinking it would take me up till just after lunchtime) but i under anticipated it and it basically took me the entire day (I guess from stopping every 2 minutes to look at something) followed by 2 nights of not sleeping too well, left me utterly exhausted by the saturday and I ended up missing a couple of bits I had wanted to see, as I just couldn't bring myself to do anything saturday afternoon.

Had a wonderful time getting myself that tired though and wouldn't change it for the world (maybe next time il think about getting the monorail :P )

after my first glasto it was

1) Deciding between two top bands on clashfinder

2) Wondering why wellys don't come in extra wide sizes whilst sat in porch of small tent whilst friends take it in turn at 3am to try and get your boots off for you

3) Being full of plans, but not having enough time to do it all

Therefore I decided at my last glasto

1) not to plan anything, the best things are stumbled across

2) Not to wear wellys - hiking boots and gators now on

3) Your never going to do it all, everybody has a unique experience ,and thats half the fun !!

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the trek from the car park. I don't mind the mud, I don't care about the loos, rain is fine and missing the odd band because of a clash is no bother, but that walk, slogging to the campsite with my rucksack is just hell - I'm dreading it already!

(Funnily enough, although it's uphill on the way back on Monday morning it's never as bad... pack weighs half as much once I've drunk all the beer!)

1. I don't like the idea of persistant rain and the heavy 'claggy' mud that follows...

2. Being woken up at some ghastly hour by finding my tent has magically become a sauna. :P

3. Having to leave on the Monday and walk through the rapidly emptying Worthy Farm - really sad :P

(I can live with the long walks, toilets, chavs etc)

Rain = mud = can't sit down

I also hate it when you get woken up because your tent has changed into a oven, but, on the plus side that usually means its sunny.

Toilets don't really bother me.

The headliner on Sunday is always a sad time as you know its nearly all over.

It's mostly the walk to & from the car - our own fault I suppose as we camp in Williams which is nowhere near any of the car parks! :P

The one back to the car is so much worse though. Having to look at the state that the site has been left in is heartbreaking & combined with the fact we're going home......... :P

Faffing. as much as i love going with a nice big group of mates, the thing i can't stand is the endless fannying about that occurs when you try and do anything or go anywhere in a group of more than about 6. I'll be all ready to leave the campsite, then someone will have to go back in their tent to get something, then someone else will arrive back at the campsite, then decide to come with us, then take an age to get ready, then we'll finally leave, then someonwe will need a wee, then someone will decide theyre hungry, someone else will get distracted by the shops, then we'll get to where your going just as what we went to see finishes, then we'll all split up anyway! argh!!

This year its just me and the missus going so i'll only have to put up with one woman's faffing. :P

Rain is defo the a dampener (pun intended) and wetwipe baths from day three onwards aren't great (though the discovery of the tipi field sauna/shower has helped with this immensely in recent years.

The worst thing about Glastonbury without a doubt, in my mind, is the numerous dreams through out the year that I some how end up missing most of the festival. This can either be through arriving late, getting lost and ending up outside the fence without my pass or most commonly sleeping through the entire thing. I has me in cold sweats. Although the dreams often also come with wicked acts, fun new venues or in one case the whole festival took place on a giant red and yellow bouncy castle....so its not all bad.
