Britton can get tae f*ck, Cotton any day over her! I do like a bit of curves though so Cotton ain't really my type either!

you used to be able to spot a Mancunian by the fact that they supported City. Unfortunately this logic doesn't follow any more; i'm seeing the same growth in the number of City shirts in london as happened with Chelsea five years ago. Annoying.

Yeah my mums side of the family is from Manchester, they all city fans and have been for generations.

I hate plastic fans, I myself am completely neutral being a rugby fan(probably just as bad in most fans eyes haha)! :P

I use both. The former being used as a prefix for many things, festival orientated or not:

Talking about the festival - Glastobate

Shopping for camping gear - Glastobrowse

The noise of a very satisfying puddle - Glastosquelch

A 'pop a vein in your forehead' dump - Glastoclench

Knackered after a long night's drinking and/or dancing - Glastof**ked

Stubble on one's face after you forget to shave for a few days - Glastofuzz

Seeing the new model of Quechua tent made to house several large families - Glastoporn

etc, etc, etc

Without ANY shadow of doubt it should be called GLASTO.... or even better G14STO. Then my car numberplate is worth even more.... :P:P

Don't think it is true though.

As humans we categorize things and then make short hand versions, there is little meaning in it just laziness.

'United' - Manchester United together

'Mike' - Michael 99

'Stones' - Rolling Stones stone circle

'T' - T in the Park 2 sugars

etc etc

Glastonbury is no different ergo 'Glasto'

Glastonbury in talking, Glasto in writing as it is shorter! Although saying that when I sent a tweet to Emily Eavis last night I stopped myself typing 'Glasto'. Silly I know but it didn't seem right for some reason.

There are of course the people who say GLASStonbury (Glass said in the southern way so Glaaaaaas)!

Glasto - used by those for whom going to the festival is in itself the important thing and feel the need to tell everyone (including BBC presenters).

Glastonbury - used by those for who the festival is the important thing and don't care if anyone knows they are going or not.

what a load of sh*t. You are such a...arrgh i cant find the words. You think your so fu*cking cool and better than everyone else. I really don't think people would ever be ashamed of going. EVERYONE there has a good time. What you call it is neither here nor there. I call it glastonbury but if i were to call it glasto that wouldnt make me more liable to fell the need to tell everyone of this. Is your theory based on the fact that the word it shorter?
