spikytom
wait, that link doesn't seem to work, but google 'jamiroquai glastonbury' and it throws up a youtube video of what appears to be jamiroquai performing at what appears to be glastonbury! Filthy
I'd rather have Stevie Wonder than a blatant rip off.

Filthy
Hence why I wrote "They should stop robbing stuff off aging, blind, African-Americans" a few posts ago.
refriedgenes
I think the problem with Jamiroquai was they were incredibly funky for the first 2 albums ('Planet Earth and 'Space Cowboy) but because they'd signed like a 6 album deal or something they eventually ran out of ideas within the timeframe. just MO
IamChappu
Saw them a couple of times on the Pyramid stage in the 90s - both Sunday afternoons I think They were pretty good live & really seemed to get the crowd going. They were pretty funky then but have to agree with what refriedgenes said though - after a while they seemed to run out of ideas. Would def prefer to have Stevie Wonder though! Craig_G
and if you're going to rob musical ideas from someone, it may as well be Sir Stevie.
FunkyDenz
And Sir Stevie proved his stealing abilities when he jammed with Jimi Hendrix, and "stole" Jimi's riffs to create Superstition.

eFestivals
It would be great, have they ever performed at Glasto? They've played at least once - it was the year that Channel 4 broadcast the fest (the first time it was televised I think), as I remember Jay smoking a spliff into the camera on stage and saying something like "what you gonna do with these pictures Channel 4". I've seen them a few times in the last ten years, and they've always been superb - Jay changing the band members regularly helps keep things fresh and energetic (even if it makes him a bit of a c**t), and via the consistency that appears to achieve I'd say it makes them one of the better live acts around. But I totally get where people are coming from with comments about their music. Regardless, they have a formula that works for what they do, and they do it better than most manage. eFestivals
Bloody Hell are they still going then as far as I know, yup. How else would Jay afford to keep his fleet of 5mpg flash cars topped up with fuel?
rexclark
I'd be very interested in seeing them live even though I'm not a huge fan.

Amlo4ka
yeah jamiroquai is great, i really don't think it matters who stole what in music.
eFestivals
yeah jamiroquai is great, i really don't think it matters who stole what in music. Personally, I hate the thieves. While Jamiroquai has been hugely influenced by certain acts (and which act isn't?), I feel that they've created something uniquely their own.
