Which Wellies - hunters or rock fish?

Hi!

As the title suggests really! - I've received my pair of Hunter Original (Ladies size 6) and, although I don't want or need to go into t wide fitting Hunters, they'll be a bit too tight I reckon if have to go over jeans / combats.

I've seen some by a company called Rock Fish and all theirs, very sensibly, have the little v-type covered cut in the top (Can't understand why Hunter wouldn't do this as standard).

Question is - are Rock Fish as comfy as Hunters are supposed to be? (Spent the last 3 years Glasto in cheap £20 wellies and was fine but they are now more gaffer tape than welly so thought I'd invest)

I know the whole bwalking boots v wellies convo's but wellies all teh way for me - no worry about anything touching legs in long drops!!

Advise please!!

Muckboots

The top half is made material that is 100% waterproof and far more comfortable than any welly, Hunter or not.

Come in loads of colours, style and lengths.

I have a pair of hunter wellies and they are really comfy, well worth the money. Have worn them a little more than I'd of like to of late.

I had some cheap ones last year and they were a pain

If you are planning to walk about a lot thenI'd advise them

Man, I'm liking the look of those muckboots. I might have to get myself a pair, although on second thoughts, it's going to be so sunny this year, all I'll need will be flip flops

I wear walking boots and have a pair of muddies (like the muckboots above) just in case my walking boots give out, they never have!

I know everyone raves about walking boots but what if there if its a mud bath. Something that comes just about your ankles aint going to keep you very dry.

Although that won't be an issue as we will all be in flip flops due to the heat wave

Having tried boots and gaiters in 2005, I quickly moved onto wellies. A cheap pair of Joe bananas wellies, some insoles in them, good tall woolen socks turned over the top, I've never been so comfy. Still using those same wellies.

I also recommend sealskinz socks if you can get them (3 layers, one being water proof), pricey, but if your dubious about the boots, they can feel like lifesavers.

+1, these and gaitors are a great mix. Spent one day at Glasto last year in wellies and by the time Neil Young came around my feet were totally f**ked.

I just got my boots Saturday. Mine are hunter style waterproof neoprene. Very Texas and comfy. They were $35 on sale.

Trainers all the way. Old ones. And if you really must be soft then Asda do good wellies for £5.

Honestly, the place is crawling with multi coloured waterproof ponce boots these days.

Hey

After all your research into these awesome looking boots can you tell me how much a pair are worth?

Praying I can wear my 'flip flops' and trainers at night but need to have a comfy option should the weather do, well, what it tends to do over this weekend.
