Lithium05
As I've said before alot of people on here give the organisers of R&L alot more credit than they're due. TCV could headline and there would be alot less furore about it than there has been about other previous headliners.
ALLHALLOWS
I can't see TCV headlining...I just can't. They were good last year on the NME Stage and I wouldn't rule out a second or third from top position on the mainstage but I doubt they will headline. The truth is they just aren't big enough to pull in the daytrippers like a Green Day, Blink or MCR would.
scottt
It's not going to happen and if it does, I'll obviously admit I was wrong. But it won't, so I'm not going to.
Vieuphoria
I'm going... Blink 182, Foo Fighters and Soundgarden however Green Day could play above Blink, or headline instead of SG. ideally for me.... The Libertines, Soundgarden and The Cure

Vieuphoria
such as? say Kasabian go to V. The Strokes can't/won't headline now. The White Stripes possibly but probably not. Who else?
Role Model
Foo Fighters are indie enough or popular enough with the NME crowd.
VCK
Yeah, there was no "Indie" headliner in 2005, unless you consider Pixies Indie, but presumably you meant Indie from the noughties? (Weird that I'm now saying "from the noughties"! ) Although fingers crossed the "Indie headliner" will be R.E.M.!
Role Model
R.E.M. would be too amazing, but we can hope.

wheres the mudfight
Green Day, Blink and Libertines would be my ideal from those listed. can't see it happening. can't even remember who headlined last year now? radiohead... erm, KoL? didn't see any of them. can't believe I ditched Billy Talent for marmaduke duke, schoolboy error erm. realisticly for Headliners I'd hope for Green Day or Blink 182, libertines 2nd up one day and something else not listed. the Cure would be great. rexclark
I doubt Foo Fighters will be playing anywhere this year although I could be wrong. It's a sad day when the only Indie bands we can think of are Kasabian, The Strokes, Foo Fighters and The Libertines. Personally I'd like them to go for a big dance headliner like Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Faithless. In the currant climate they would all be popular, the dance tent at Leeds last year was rammed for the bigger acts. Hopefully the festival can take a step forwards instead of a step back. luckysalt
WAAAAY too strong Won't happen Good list of bands though. That being said The Streets are no longer big enough to headline NME IMO, they played 3rd from top on 3rd stage at V this past year
