luckysalt
Some good additions there Doves are always good live Ocean Colour Scene were quality at V this year James were enjoyable too, although not my favourite band, Laid is a great tune, great tent headliner I reckon. Wonder who they will be up again though?

manda
I'm really really happy with Doves playing. OCS and James are another couple of great additions but i'm a bit disappointed they're in the tent as it fills so quickly and odds are we wont get in. Friendly fires should be good too. Not fussed on the other new ones, but at least there are now some good acts for me to really look forward to!
choadus
Wow this years IOW festival is looking to be the worst festival lineup i've seen in the UK for a while... Awful so far!
irons
Yeah. They'll find it hard to sell this year. The Strokes are a good band but headliner for IOW I doubt. Pixies couldn't do it and Strokes are no bigger. This wont sell and people will look somewhere else.
luckysalt
Hmm it does look a bit poor especially when Calvin harris is third from top main stage when he's played 3rd stage at V the past two years running and not headlining there and I think opening main stage at TITP last yea and I wouldn't say he's any bigger Theres some festival saving gaps to fill though! luckysalt
God when Ive posted it like that and looked at it, its really, really poor Blondie is WAY too high, would be low main stage at V same for Calvin Harris Doves seem about right but playing under Calvin Harris is shocking Pink is about right as shes headlining Wireless Paloma Faith who is she? Should be in the Big Top I agree its gunna struggle badly unless they have a huge Sunday headliner like The Rolling Stones or The Police level that they had before

meatyparson
Line up so far is weak as piss ! Think will give it a wide berth this year & invest my spends elsewhere.
.jay.
for me the isel of wight line ups are always weak, especially when compared with the bigger festivals, but i don't go to iow for the line ups, i didn't like the line up last year and a didn't like it the year before but i still went because i love the atmosphere and the crowd it pulls in. despite the majority of users of this forum being miserable pesamistic whiners thankfully they do not reflect the festival goers in general. for me personally this years line up is the best of the last few years and i have always said that so long as a festival has half a dozen or so acts playing that i would pay to go and see then i am good to go. Blondie Friendly Fires Jay-Z Orbital Paloma Faith The Strokes Vampire Weekend i'm more than happy with that little bunch of acts to see whilst i am enjoying what else the festival gives me, which is time off work, great company with lots of friends both from where i live and friends we've made at the festival over the past two summers and one of the more laid back and freindly atmoshperes of any festival i have been to. no doubt more acts will be added that i will enjoy as well but if not i don't really care. Chavmeisterdeluxe
Fairly sure it's Dizzee Rascal between Calvin Harris and Jay Z.
