What is the big deal with muse playing/headlining....?

i no understand the hype and why so many people want them there

surely there are a 100 bands who could take the slot and have a far bigger playlist

for the record:

i dont like muse, i dont understand why so many ppl do

they sound just like any other modern indie group, nowt special

if they play i will be somewhere else

and if they headline it will be a waste of a slot

thank you

A far bigger playlist? Do you know how many studio albums Muse have?

Black Holes + Revelations

Showbiz

Origin of Symertery

The Resistance

Absolution

.......... then youve got unrelased tracks from the Newton Abott demo

Muse are going to be headlining as they're one of the biggest british acts at this point in time. They headlined in 2004 if you knew anything, and have only got better since then. Their live shows are very good and they are truely great showmen. Matthew Bellamy is also an awesome guitarist and he's not too shabby on Piano either.

Get your facts straight before you pipe up. Muse have earnt this second coming. I for one will be there.

EDIT.

Just read your top post again. God , you rage me. This isnt the place for mindless slating. You can slate, but at least put up some valid points, so everyone doesnt think youre a jebend. (I do)

Why do bands have to be pigeonholed?? Does it really matter whether they are indie, alternative rock or mainstream? Their studio albums are original and theatrical. Their live performances are some of the best I have ever seen. Try them, you might actually like them. Bored you will definately not be!!!

I can't stand them but I've heard so many people raving about their live shows that there must be something in it. A few of my mates have told me to judge them on their gigs not their records but I really can't bring myself to go and see them

I like their older stuff, I thought The Resistance was an appalling album. I have no problem with them headlining, there's plenty of other stuff to do around the festival. If there's nothing else on, I'll go see them. IF they headline, DO SOMETHING ELSE AND STOP BITCHING. IT'S NOT A WASTE OF A HEADLINE SPOT IF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE GO SEE THEM. WHICH THEY WILL.
