I'm currently doing some testing for eFestivals radio, which is going to relaunch in the new year in a much better way that it was managed before.

Anyway, if you'd like to tune in, you just need to point their computer's media player (winamp, iTunes, Window's Media Player, Quicktime, RealPlayer) at this address:-

http://radio.efestivals.co.uk:8000

(in winamp, you do "File -> Play URL", then enter the URL above)

today's shows are:-

10am till 11am: V Festival 2009

11am till 12:00: Reading/Leeds Festival 2009

12:00 till 3pm: Glastonbury Festival 2009

(more shows will very probably be added for today a bit later)

Each show plays tunes from a variety of acts from that festival.

It's still going at 11:35pm?!? That supposed to happen?

Currently playing a CSN&Y track that I don;t know. :P

cos it'll keep on playing if I want it to, I've kept it running. :P

It's currently playing random tunes from my music library - don't worry, it's not the same three tunes on loop. :P

In a while I might load in another festival playlist of some kind, but I want to try and get other aspects sorted if I can so actual playlists isn't a priority at the moment.

Anyway, feel free to tune in if you like. There might be the occasional dodgy tune, but certainly no worse than any radio station.

right, it's now running again, all set-up on a nice shiny new PC. :P

It's running 24/7, so feel free to tune in. If it's doing what it's meant to, it should be playing a Jazzworld-heavy playlist of bands from Glastonbury 2009 .... if it's not doing what it should be, it'll revert to playing random songs from the music library.

To tune in, point your computer's media player (winamp, iTunes, Window's Media Player, Quicktime, RealPlayer) at this address:-

It died with the error message "ICY 401: Service Unavailable" (using Winamp V5.56) at just before 2000 hours unfortunately :P or at least that's what I had come up here when it suddenly stopped after playing for a good hour or so this evening anyway. Mr.Server will no doubt be on the receiving end of an appropriately targeted boot, big stick or similar implement some 'encouragement' in the morning ! BTW, you don't click on the linky, that usually just takes you to a status page. What you need to do when it's back up and running again is open Winamp, Windoze Media Player or some other suitable media player, find the option to "Play URL" or "Open URL" and then enter http://radio.efestivals.co.uk:8000 as the URL to Play/Open.

Sort of linked topic.

Does everyone else love Worthy FM as much as me.

Those links where the recipient obviously isn't ready, the odd playlist selection....

I always tune in as soon as I can, and hate it as it fades away on the monday morning.

I listened to it last year!, I was bored at home and waiting for T and there was all this excitement about glastonbury, so I ended up tuning in and couldn't stop listening it was really good stuff, I really liked when they had small bands come in and do acoustic performances :P

Reminds me, best make sure I get portable radio to listen to at the tent in the mornings
