Roxy Music?

Ok, so I came across this a few days ago and thought not much of it.

Then I read it again and thought perhaps its worth sharing:

And for all those arguing that he claimed he would never go to Glastonbury, his son Otis does argue that the only reason he said that is because he's upset that he was never asked.

Could be fun...

We could do without huntin' shootin' and fishin' conservative supporting son Otis

But this was Roxy Music at their best. Live in Frejus in 1982

Unfortunately though reading the comments it does seem like its just a one off for Groove Armada since its their festival. Shame though.

However day tickets are £45, which is less then what I paid to see Ferry a couple of years back so its awfully tempting!!

i saw bryan ferry play a gig in the states and was so utterly shocked at the shambolic show he put on. kept bimbling off between songs and i think managed only about 8-10 songs for the whole set.

On the other hand, I saw Brian Eno do an experimental ambient electronic set and it went on for about 3 1/2 hours of pur magic.

Ferry on his own = no

Roxy Muxic with Eno = down the front

Saying that though they do have a rather good back catalogue and could pull out a 'all killer no filler' tyope of set if they wanted to and didnt play smoke gets in your fecking eyes etc..

Perfect argument for 'an eye for an eye'. He murdered a great John Lennon track, so I want to murder him.

    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
    • From Magyar’s FB:   ”Our country's energy and water supply is stable. As of today, voluntary consumption reduction is no longer necessary. The turbine at the Paks power plant is generating stably. Thanks to precipitation in Austria, the water level of the Danube will temporarily rise by 20–30 centimeters. Thank you, Hungary, for the unprecedented national unity shown in recent days! We have much to be proud of, and much to carry forward into the period ahead.”
    • I hope it stays under £400.  A lot of us aren't flush with cash.  Charities are great but do they need £1 mil (I jest)
    • You're not wrong - but i still don't like it!  F5 forever
