Yes - they played the BBC Introducing. They also played Zorbing on the BBC whilst Jo Wiley and Mark Ratcliffe watched on......so they did get around quite a bit.

Sadly I didn't catch them once last year, but thought they were great on Jools and will be looking out for them next time.

For me, listening to Norah Jones is like eating a piece of steak. You might forget to trim the fat, you may over cook it, you might even serve it with a baked potato (instead of chips), but ultimately it's still a piece of steak, and I like steak.

Having said all this, I think last nights live show was the worst I can remember seeing. Joss Stone, great voice, terrible material. Some bloke trying to be James Brown, Ricky Lee Jones, ergh. Delphic, this years poor New Order impressionists and a faded comedian playing the Banjo. Truly Truly awful !!

I thought Foo's f**king owned Times Like These, it made me think they could kill it even if they hadn't played together for ten years. 'Wheels' is a good song, but i think it kind of autopilots towards the end though. Jay Z's a great performer, thought he was great. That english band I couldn't watch they really made me cringe, saying that I know nothing about them they just seemed to have one desire and be the english Vampire Weekend but that's probably all that lazy journalism I've read in my life rubbing off on me, do all their songs sound like the one they played first?

I reckon it will be counterpoint, its only 4.55 mins long. Just bought tickets to see them in Notting hill on the 26th January, really looking forward to that, its the last leg of their tour, maybe looking forward to a Glasto appearence next year?

It could be the Momentary though, although the version of Counterpoint above is 4.55 the full version is over 6 mins long, where Momentary is 4:58 and i more banging and trancy, should be good either way.

Never heard of them before but Delphic ruled that episode.

Joss Stone - too up her own arse.

Alice in Chains - should have never reformed. Were great now are poor/average.

The revelation of the night for me is Black Joe Lewis & The Honey Bears. Actual, proper rhythm & blues lives! Not what is badged as R&B these days (=shite). Sounding great. Off to check tour dates.

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
