a couple of moments from the friday night this year.

1. dancing to animal collective and coming up to my favourite song, telling the hippy lady next to me and being told "well done".

2. dancing on a flashing podium in the wrecking ball in trash city to an acid house dj, chatting with 20 people who i'd just met like we were all best mates.

3. singing 'think' by aretha franklin at 5am with 1000 other people. if i had to say then i would say that the last "FREEDOOOOOM!" of the chorus was the single most beautiful moment of my life.

all in all. far and away the best night of my life

I know Tender was the song of the night, but for me it had to be when Blur sung This is a Low - IMO they haven't written anything better than that song - still sends shivers up and down my spine when I hear it.

rocking up last year (after the weather disaster from the year before) to glorious sunshine. the 5 minutes after we setup our tents high up on the dairy ground. it was about 8am when we were done. Cracked open the first beer, rolled a big fat one, unpacked the comfy chair, turned around and saw the whole site in all it's beautiful glory slowly waking up....life was perfect at the time...

musically there were loads of awesome moments (blur doing tender, neil's last minutes on stage, iggy inviting the whole of glasto on stage, the hey jude singalong, rodgab doing wish you were here, ben harper launching into whole lotta love the list is endless)....

can't wait for 2010

I have to choose 3...

1. Arriving for the 1st time in 2008 and thinking - why have i never been before?

2. My youngest brother on my shoulders as we belted out Sweet Caroline during the Neil Diamond set. Turning around and looking up the hill at the amazing sea of people, arms in the air... How mobbed was the Pyramid field for him?

3. The Verve playing Lucky Man towards the end of their headline set. I was towards the back and momentarily transported away to another place. I think it was a combination of it being one of my all time fav songs, lack of sleep and too much Strongbow. All very emotional.

Priceless memories that will stay with me until i am a very old man!

I was right in front of the big screen to the left of the stage for Blur and at one point the camera was zoomed right in on the moon. When it slowly zoomed back out to reveal the whole site with thesky lanterns above it was a pretty special shot. I imagine anyone who was lucky enough to be looking at the screens at that point would agree with that it was one of those moments

Walking back from the most wonderful Blur concert,humming "Tender" as the clock struck 12 and my son turned 18. A perfect moment in time.

About 4pm on Friday this year in the Park. Sat down with a 2 litre bottle of red wine, took off the wellies as the 30 degree sun dried the mud and watched Emiliana Torrini, after scoring some excellent herbal totally out of the blue, and hearing her sing Unemployed in Summertime. Summed Glasto up for me.

Obviously Penny Lane in 04, that’s a given.

The brief moment when Rest of the World were beating England in the efests World Cup, thanks to a goal from - me!!

Arriving in 95 at gates open on the Wednesday knowing I had 'come home' and life would never ever be the same ever again

2 days later, 5am whilst dancing away at Joe Banana's soundsystem...indulged in my first 'indulgence' of the small round white things variety...it felt like hundreds of tiny little yellow butterflies tickling my tummy...knew my life would never be the same again!!!

1 day later...hundreds of yellow butterflies are now visible to everybody (and not just my tummy!) on the big screens at the Pyramid as Halcyon is played out by Orbital...my first ever time I ever saw them and knowing my life would never ever be the same ever ever again!

I could/should then add my first experience of an Efests Meet, first taste of Brothers Cranberry Grog and my Glasto Wedding and honeymoon in 03, Orbital's show in 02 and their last in 04, the Chems in 97, 04 and 07, 2ManyDJs when they dropped 9-5 in 03, meeting John Peel in 03, watching Rolf in 02, my first Tartiflette in 02, Fatboy in 03, raving in the pissing rain at Arcadia in 08...and so on!
