Some harsh comments in this topic. I thought they were great live when I saw them and of course have some classics songs such as Longview, Basket Case and Time Of Your Life. I doubt they'll play, and they don't seem like a "Glasto" band, but I wouldn't complain if they did.

Brilliant live band, they had a bit of a lull with Nimrod and Warning but even they had a few gems on. American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown are great albums, Jesus of Suburbia is one of my favorite Greenday songs.

Seeing them tomorrow in Manc, would love to see them at Glasto. Far better than some of the dross ive seen people peddling on here and with a much bigger and better back catalogue.

They're alright, if they did play I'd probably see the first couple of songs before walking away. I don't think they ever would play though, doesn't seem like their scene.

were you even born when dookie came out :P

i loved green day around that time when i was a 14 year old punk with docs and green hair :P

not so much now though.

do they still do the bit where they get kids from the audience to play the instruments for one song?

my mate played drums at leeds in '01 (?) for them.

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
