Emerging acts - Who have you stumbled upon recently

Funnily enough I tried to take in some unsigned or little known stuff at Glasto this year (not nearly enough if I'm honest) and saw 2 Door Cinema Club at the BBC Introducing tent. I though they were really good and would go see them again. Their sound reminded me a bit of Editors, but not in the "I wish I was deaf" way if that makes any sense.

Years ago, I stumbled upon a classic track by an unsigned band called Moist Bamboo. I think they've now renamed themselves Toy Horses - click here for their website

Click on the track 'But What About The Future?' - it's amazing! I'd love to hear that at Glasto in the sun with a nice cool pint of cider on the go. Lovely, quirky song.

They're still unsigned, but I'd love to see them make it. Uplifting music is always good.

The Young Republic - Everywhere

oh Withered Hand would be good too.

Am loving TJF Support on this thread, one of the highlights of the year for sure. Seen them six times this year and two more to come

Other than the joy formidable my new bands have all been a bit away from the mainstream;

ROMANCE - http://www.myspace.com/isthisromance

O Children - http://www.myspace.com/ochildren

The Chapman Family - http://www.myspace.com/thechapmanfamily

Lyrebirds - http://www.myspace.com/lyrebirdsmusic

Not new but I'd like to see these smaller bands too:

I LIKE TRAINS - http://www.myspace.com/iliketrains

Misty's Big Adventure - http://www.myspace.com/mistysbigadventure

The Boxer Rebellion - http://www.myspace.com/theboxerrebellion

White Rose Movement - http://www.myspace.com/whiterosemovement

Slow Club - http://www.myspace.com/slowclub

Oh, and if anyone on the booking community is reading this, do your best to get these boys out of retirement: Merci!
