It was going to be the Scout Camp...well there were a lot of ideas with that line of thought that many folk got very excited about at the Rifleman's the night before THIS year's festival!

Camp Dave would be my vote probably...I'll be wishing you all lots of luck and fun with it all from a lush vineyard in Sonoma County California or in the Loire Valley, France probably though! :):(:( (Smug mode engaged!)

The post of Camp Receptionist is now open to any mad bastard to actually wants to step into the shoes! Apply to Luscious Lucy with your CV and camp organisation credentials. Closing date: April 1st 2010. :)

To be fair, you have not been in a camp where

  • there is around 200 people looking to join

  • in an area the size of Pennards

  • where there is a lot of new faces who don't know anyone

And there has always been some kind of organisation to eFest camps - list of attendees, rough plan of camp, number swaps etc.. just Glasto is on a lot bigger scale and does need some organising.

Fair point Paul but other than tthe list, number swap and rough idea of where the camp is what else needs done? These are things done for every camp Ive attended, albeit on a smaller scale than Glasto.

I will be there the day before, whatever day that will be, and will be setting up the kids tents. I will probably be camping with Strudders, where ever he ends up :) But I am hoping to pitch up quite afew tents for folk the day before, but until it is decided what day the car parks are open I can't make plans

One thing that is a definate is a washing machine drum for a fire this year. Got a spare one in the shed already, and a decent 4 wheeled trolley to help people with gear, and for a wood collection :)
