OK, I've been pondering this. If GF/ME says "no. we're not going to show it', how many people, in all honesty would go to the car parks, drive away and go an find somewhere to watch it? Yesterday i said 40,000 but I've been thinking about it, and I reckon it would be much lower than that. Yes people would watch it if it were on, but if they had to trawl back to their car and then try to find somewhere to watch it, I think most people would just think 'f**k it, we're here now'. So I'm going to revise my estimate downwards to about 10,000 people.

I've just got in guys and read up to about page 21, sorry if this has already been said but the answer is simple.

So we've established the match is going to be on either sunday or saturday

one of these slots will be taken up with the football and the other will need to be filled by a band.

Lets pick Kasabian, for example. If we end up playing on the sunday then Kasabian will play in the slot before the headliner on saturday. If we end up playing on the satrday then kasabian will still play in the slot below the headliner on sunday but all the other acts will have to get shifted down one.

To get round the extra time bit ME could explain his situation to the council and ask for an extension on the cufew. I think the council would go for this as they would prefer the football to be shown so they don't get loads of people leaving the site.

No. ME wont even know if Engerland are throu till Wednesday. How will a band be paid and do a slot if they don't know what day they're on. What if they're doing other gigs over the weekend?

I haven't read all of this so apologies if I repeat anyone.

They will have to show both matches, otherwise the chaos would be ridiculous - and Eavis doesn't like messing with the locals at the best of times let alone letting thousands of people have a mass exodus.

The Wednesday the match will be the only thing on so it will have to be on Pyramid, anywhere else would be too much crush, which Eavis doens't want. So they'll have to set up the screens a day early on the pyramid, I'm sure this can be arranged.

Eavis should assume England will get though their group, any other assumption is ridicuolous. He basically needs a band who are happy and flexible enough to be support for The Stones, or play Sunday Afternoon. My guess would be Manic Street Preachers or Kaiser Chiefs.

The Stones would be unlikely to be affetced by the match, and I personally can't think of many things better than watching England beat Australia or Germany and then watch the Stones.

This is what I'd do if I was young Mr. Eavis, but it his call - I hold no power.

The thing is , you can't plan this in advance; World cups have thrown up suprises in the past and the same will happen next time; If England lose a game in group they could be second place therefore

disruption at start of day? Perhaps they should open two fields to show game whatever time it gets called..

Anyhow, England are synonumous with disappointments... England v Germany? Defo will go to penalties then... And then Beckham fluffs his kick when he notices a stray hair..
