Very interesting Neil, hopefully they'll prove your rule wrong, do Glastonbury then play in September. When I saw them at Wembley last year I felt like they lost something from not having the majority of their show being in the light. Recently saw Coldplay at Wembley in September and it was incredible, especially seeing as they were in the light the majority of the time.

If its a full stadium tour you'd assume they'll do Old Trafford cricket ground up north. Then probably Hamden Park in Scotland and Wembley. Then maybe somewhere in the midlands like the Ricoh Areana, perhaps somewhere like the Stadium of Light too.

They'd better not do Portman Road in Ipswich though, like REM did a few years ago, I'd hate the idea of another band I love pumping money into those scum bastards!

I'm glad they've decided to do it in September this time, just because it'll mean the place will get darker, sooner, which will definitely benefit the show! I'll be there (lyrical pun not intended., or should I say unintended...)

Muse concert announced

13 November 2009

Muse have announced their UK stadium dates for 2010 including a massive show at Wembley Stadium on 11 September.

The band whose latest album ‘The Resistance’ reached the No. 1 spot in 21 countries around the world and entered the American charts at No. 3, were named ‘Best Act In The World Today’ at Q Magazine’s annual ceremony last month.

The band are currently touring the UK’s Arenas including two nights at London’s 02 this week. All 85,000 tickets for this tour sold out in under half an hour.

Muse are in no doubt Britain’s most celebrated and ambitious live act of their generation. When they played Wembley Stadium in 2007 The Guardian’s commented, “Few are more suited than MUSE to take on what Pele described as the cathedral of football" in a 5/5 review.

They will also play Manchester’s Lancashire County Cricket Club on Saturday 4 September 2010.

What the media say...

“Muse are not in the least embarrassed about the virtues of old-fashioned showmanship, but their secret is the way they push everything a little further than you expect, until it seems not so much familiar as boldly eccentric.” (The Telegraph, 5 stars)

“Masters of the theatrical live experience, Muse are back and on form.” (The Independent 4 stars)

“Too few bands have this level of ambition… life affirming.” (Q Magazine)

    • I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
    • Did you camp or go for a hotel? I looked into it briefly and seems easy enough to get back to Nuremberg.
    • Been last time in 2018 when the festival was happening in parque Bela vista. ls the new location good for such a big festival? What's the temperature in the evening near Tejo? Should we bring a raincoat or a jacket?
