me too, i went on my own this year, but if u camp at the triangle, your never on ur own once ur there unless u choose to be....i had a fantastic fest, didnt have to worry about pleasing anyone else, had a right old wander about, seen more that i had previous years...and to top it all off had the most fab time with the efests lot.....i guarantee you will LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

oo the only downer was the many many many hours spent alone in my car trying to get in, so id suggest car share or public transport, but even then the lovely Strudders kept in touch on the phone so not all bad lol xx

Still waiting for confirmation from my mates that they got tickets, but I'm not overly bothered if they didn't, as we all wanted to do different things last year so I didn't see much of them during the festival, and enjoyed meeting eFesties and random strangers and partying with them.

Am tempted to camp in regardless.

is the informal eFest campsite, it's on Pennards, about a third of the way up if I remember correctly (only visited it once whilst drunk last year)

I think its quite likely your friends will be able to get one in the april resale.

I heard that there were 30,000 tickets at the resale last year, but it didn't sell out for months, this year loads more people know how the deposit system works so I think lots of people bought them on the off chance they could make it.

Having said that, I know a lot more people who forgot to get tickets, so more people will be trying to get them, but basically, I wouldn't give up hope yet.

I've never done Glastonbury on my own but onvce spent a day on my own because I was with my brother and his girlfriend and they needed time to themselves. I had the most fantastic day ever and the only bad bit was when I got back to my tent and they weren't there yet so I couldn't tell them all about it!

I think the great thing about going alone is the total freedom it gives you to do what you want. Sometimes I'm somewhere and I'd quite like to move on, but I can see the person I'm with is really onto it so feel I have to stay. Sometimes I'm really into something but I'm wondering whether the person I'm with wants to move on. It's great to just stay somewhere for as long as you want, and move when you want.

On the other hand - you do then want to tell someone everything you've done and seen - so although I've never done it - the Efest sounds a great plan for any solo ravers.

my mate are a useless bunch, and getting them to register is like getting them to cut their arm off of something.

to be honest we did't think it would sell out and were to chilled out about it. Was planning to book/register them this week once all the fuss had passed. . . .. . .

happy days

    • I really like the Cheap Thrills! I saw them at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester in January at one of Chris Hawkins' "Awesome Friends" nights (which i think is why I even got tickets as it wasn't listed as a Cheap Thrills show!). Very good live and some great songs. I would've gone Saturday if I'd planned ahead!
    • They also seem to be in a mission to break the US with their new major label and this latest LP   Mid afternoon, live streamed on Disney+ is arguably a much bigger gig than Kendal Calling, if they had to skip one
    • This is massively exciting. I've been curious to who will be provide vocals for their live show and this is mega!
