Me...I think I need to stand in the corner in shame. Still haven't even managed to crack the 1/2 stone weight loss & I've been trying - admittedly not drastically though - since January. Recent birthdays haven't helped but really it's just down to poor willpower :P

Being positive though, my blood pressure is on its way down & there's still 7 weeks to go to Glastonbury - I can do it! (I hope..... :P )

I remember standing in the Avalon tent when it was baking one afternoon last year. The sweat was dripping off me. I could feel it running down my back. I looked around and everyone else looked cool and unbothered by the heat. I swore to myself that I would never be that heavy again ( I am 6'7" and was 23 stone) People say I carry the weight well because of my height but its all relative and I felt fat and unfit!!!

Anyway, one year on and Ive lost 4lb!!! I really need to get some walking and cycling in and lose at least a stone, because I KNOW it will be hard work

1 week gone at the gym...and finally had my induction last night with cardio program set up...can I just say...fookin hell! Its tough but fatburntastic and I can already feel a wee bit of effect from just one week of X trainers, treadmills and bikes.

Also walking 2 miles to the bus, work and back is also helping. Must try and be good over the weekend (ciderwise)...its my first night out with the Strumpets and their delicious Crumpets this Saturday...need to get into my best busty village wench outfit for the Twisted Village Fete in Brizzle :P

Lost one whole pound in the last week.

I'm focused now less on trying to lose and more on endurance for all the walking I will have to do.

Did a 9 mile bike ride on Sat, a 1.5 mile walk with a 20 pound pack and my hiking boots on Mon, ran 2 miles at the gym last night and will do another walk tonight with pack and boots.

I figure I'm not going to drop that much weight in the next 45 days...but if I focus on working out my legs mostly (for endurance) that a least a few will still fall away in the process.

Oh no! I've totally been putting off looking at this thread again this year because I knew I was going to be annoyed with myself! :P I've been doing the 'my Glasto health plan starts today' since bloody January and here we are in May and I haven't done it...again!

In the big scheme of things I need to lose a fair bit of weight but in reality seeing as I've only got 7 weeks now I'd be pretty chuffed with a stone?? I think that's realistic...is it? I'm sure I've managed to lose near on 2 stone in that amount of time in the past if I really knuckle down. Oh well, can only get my arse in gear I suppose and get it done. I don't think I ever find Glasto tooooo hard work but I know I'd feel just a bit better if I manage to shift a bit before then..

Oh! and yeah...Zumba is amazing! I've just started a few weeks ago aswell and never been to such a fun work out class! :P

hmmm, as usual i've put it off and put it off and now is rather late to do much about it!

i'm away pretty much every weekend between now and the fest so am going to have to engage in some serious weekday damage limitation just to not gain weight between now and then i reckon.

you guys are seriously motivating though, thanks!

Nice one. I only get weighed when I go see my GP, and I don't do that until next week.

I know my weight loss is slowing now, but if I keep on track I should be near my goal by the end of the year. I know by the time I get to Glasto I would have lost over 4 and a half stone which isn't shabby at all. :P

I slipped over some spilt drinks in a nightclub, the bouncer was supposed to be stopping people walking through but was too busy chatting up some young thing in a micro mini! Lucky I wasn't 2 stone heavier I might have broke something! The bigger you are the harder you fall!! I am determined to get it better, any advice welcome, I will try anything to aid the recovery of this, very hard to bend or twist my right leg :P
