The Soundsystem gigs have had mixed reviews tbh. Here's my (copied & pasted) review from page 5 of this thread:

They're playing another soundsystem date in Manchester this year, but I'm going to hold out for the full band tour!

Well I know Matter is a great venue. The sound is absoultey awesome and you can get a great view of the stage from anywhere in the club. But I have no idea who the support acts are and seems like it's just Maxi MCing over the CDs. lol

£35 for a pair of tickets. I jumped at the chance because I thought it was in the O2 arena. But seeing as I have't got anything else to do this Friday, I might as well go.

i cant say i blame maxi, he'll be 53, he's made his money, he's been doing it for years and he likes racing cars nearly as much as jumping up and down on stage.
