Robbie Williams making a comeback

To be fair the complete and utter moron was directed at Robbie as part of me being sarcastic. Everyone is indeed entitled to their opinion, but I think calling him 'evil' is a little harsh.

Apologies if you feel I was horrible to you though, not my intention. Just not keen on an act who isn't to someones tastes being dismissed as garbage and 'not worthy'. Not just by you. It happens every year on this board.

I saw Take That live close to 20 years ago miming "It only takes a minute girl" and preening themselves backstage, and have had a vicious hatred for them ever since.

Well I'm going to buck the trend here.

I would quite like him to play. I like his music (well, I thought Rude Box was shit but like most of his other albums). I know Knebworth was a career high for him, but he's shown he's a pretty competent performer.

He's not my favourite artist, not by a long way. But he'd be entertaining. And he's one of those acts I would never dream about going to see if he wasn't playing at Glastonbury so I'd be very interested to see how he did.

Sure, he may be a twat but I don't think it's likely that any of us will meet him to confirm this or not. You can't beat a good singalong at Glasto. People know the words to his songs. Angels for example - it'd be ace.

If he plays then I'm sure these boards will be awash with 7 new anti-Robbie threads a day, but for f**ks sake - the place is huge. Go and watch something else. Or how about this for a novel idea - start a thread about a band you LIKE rather than rant away about someone you obviously have some sort of personal agenda about.

It's all by the by, no-one has been announced, and there's nothing at all to suggest Robbie would play. But I'd go and see him and if he performs how I've seen him on telly etc, it'd be a bloody good show.

Not a huge fan at all but saw him play in 1998 and he nailed it in front of what was probably one of the largest Pyramid audiences I have seen for a non-headliner. That is why Glastonbury is special it doesn't shy away from taking chances and proves that personal likes or dislikes count for 'nought' - can the artist deliver given the opportunity!

Read the whole thread :) And I just said it was a snobby thing to say, I have no idea how much of a snob they are in real life.

Anyway it's going to happen like this:

Glastonbury 2010, Take That and Robbie Williams reunite for one show to headline the Pyramid stage, you heard it here first folks.

Not really my cup of tea at all but I did go to see him when he played there last time (partly to see what type of reaction he'd get  ) & I actually really enjoyed it! Now I'm not and never have been a boy band music type of person but thought it was one of the best acts I saw that year - he had a huge crowd which he worked really well & put on a jolly good show.

In fact that is what I like about Glastonbury - almost any type of music can appear there & be enjoyed by people who maybe wouldn't see that type of music normally. So give Robbie a break & watch something else if he does play & you don't want to see him - simples!
