Haven't Pearl Jam reformed?

Thing is Pearl Jam aren't really that heavy. It's just that the "Grunge" label has made people think that. They have a few rockers like Go but compared to peers of theirs such as Soundgarden or Nirvana they're musically pretty tame.

They would be fantastic, maybe under the Pyramid headliners on one of the nights or as Other Stage headliners.

I don't see why Eavis thinks anything bad would happen with heavier music, Roskilde was a very unlucky tragedy and I couldn't see something like it happening at Glastonbury mainly due to the kind of people who go every year.

Imagine Even Flow blasting out over the sea of people....

I saw them on Tuesday in Shepherd's Bush (review here, if you're interested). One of the most impressive gigs I've ever been to - I think they'd be great on the Pyramid.

Apparently they were awesome at Reading in 2006 too, but I decided to see Maximo Park then instead.

That was a daft decision.

I saw them at Reading in 2006 (was it really 2006 - seems longer) and they were immense. I think it was the first festival of their first gig in Europe (Europe is one big country to most Americans) after the Roskilde thing.

What a f**king joke! You got to see them at Shepherd's bush!?!? I don't think people realise just how popular Pearl jam are outside of the mainstream consciousness, they could headline any festival (Appropriate festival) in the world.

Pearl jam would be an immense Glasto headliner, i'd prefer they headlined Sonisphere though as i'd actually go to that hehe.

If Pearl Jam were to ever headline the sunday at Glastonbury then i'd tip it to be one of the best performances ever, although all their performances are just thunderstorm of emotions and raw musical energy.

Yes, I saw them at Shepherd's Bush. After missing them at Reading I felt I had to find out what all the fuss is about. And my girlfriend is a huge fan, so she came with me. Is that ok with you guys?!

(Ok, I know how outrageously lucky I was in the ticket scrum for that gig, but trust me, I've missed out in similar situations plenty of times before. And don't worry, I completely understand how lucky I was to be there.)

looks a good setlist for the shepherds bush show, thought about trying for tickets, but decided against it in the end, and I would've ended up slightly disappointed again had I done, as they didn't play "black".

seen them 3 times in last few years (astoria, wembley arena, werchter)....yet each time they haven't played it....probably my favourite of theirs.....would love to hear "garden" aswell, but don't think they ever play it.

glad you enjoyed the show johnmcga.
