saw The Boss last night at Giants Stadium in his homestate of New Jersey, first of 5 nights there to close out that stadium which they're knocking down. I'm going to 3 of the shows, and I figured I'd see Neil wandering around there, having just hopped on the direct Bristol-to-Newark New Jersey flight on Continental, with his plans to see 4 of the Boss shows, to go with the 4 minutes he saw at the Pyramid...

here's to a successful ticket get on sunday...

Nah, I wasn't there - some people enjoy torture and some people don't.

Tonight. 10.30. Sky Arts. Hard Rock Calling highlights. If you miss it dont worry, Neil will have the Springsteen bits recorded!

It's time to rock out in the park again. Hard Rock Calling 2009, for the first time ever taking place over 3 days, took legendary Hyde Park by storm. Located in the heart of London, Hyde Park was electric for headliners The Killers, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. The 3-day festival also featured The kooks, The Pretenders, Ben Harper, The Gaslight Anthem, james Morrison and Dave Matthews Band.

One of the most unforgettable moments of the weekend was Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band's launching their set with a remarkable rendition of the legendary 1979 Clash track, London Calling, to a crowd of 50,000 screaming fans.

Other highlights include Neil Young performing an intense free spirited version of this 1969 classic track Down by The River and Bruce Springsteen bringing back the rarely performed Rosalita to his live set.

Bruce Springsteen is THE most over-rated "musician" in all of musical history. Should have stuck to manual labour (or whatever he got up to before getting the silly music idea into his head).

I was dragged up to see him by my tent neighbours, however, and we did figure out that you can sing "Bat out of Hell" to everyone of his songs!
