Whilst dragging our sorry arses back to the car, very wet & throughly miserable at the end of G2007 my mate uttered the immortal line "do you think this is what it'll feel like at the end of the world?" I loved it and it still makes me laugh although he was deadly serious at the time....

97 and a guy was walking round selling beer...

"Super. Get your Tenants Super here".

My mate then popped his head out of his tent and shouted over to him "What flavours? Have you got any chicken noodle?". Idiot.

I still laugh when remembering a couple arguing in a tent near me, the last part I heard was -

"Just give me your f**king shoe or you'll end up wearing this pot noodle"

" I am going for a shit ! "

What my mate always says , I was brought up to not say anything or phrase it differently ie

"I am off to the bar ! "

Simon, 2007: 'Last night I sh*t in my own sleeping bag'.

Laura, 2008: (After returning from the loo) 'I just met a squirrel' (-Maybe in relation to earlier posts???)

Dave, 2007: 'I'm f**king hammered. I'll see you back at the tent. Cheers'

Thom, 2008: (upon seeing the lorry that empties the portaloos) 'Thats a sh*t truck!'

At the second sunrise festival I saw a dreadlocked mum and small child dressed as napoleon coming towards me.

The child grumbled "But mummy I'm starving to death"

to which mummy replied:

"No Brahma, you are not starving to death. Children in Africa are starving to death."

I remember one year a guy in the next camp to ours spending ages carving out a full sized sword from a single piece of wood. Then in the dark, I remember him standing on a chair in the firelight, surrounded by a smokey haze swinging the sword around, shouting, "They may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!"

Brilliant!

We had a camp fire going at Leeds 07, and pretty late on it was quite big and impressive, a gang of kids walked by and said "nice fire" to which my mate (who'd consummed) a fair ammount of class A's screamed "burn their faces off", the look on the kids faces was priceless.

Packing up early monday morning 2005..

Heard from inside another tent in Pennards.

Girl - "Get your stuff packed, we have to go"

Guy - "Oh my god, its beautiful"

Girl "I dont care, put your stuff in the bag"

Guy - "There are rainbows everywhere"

Girl - "Put your stuff in the bag, put your clothes in the bag, put the sodding rainbows in the bag, WE HAVE TO GO!"

omg...i nearly died.

I think she was a teeny bit pissed off....:P

I once heard two people in the tent next to us about 11 in the morning arguing about what was better out of The Simpson and Spongebob Squarepants. When I came back to my tent about 1am and tried to get off to sleep, I heard the same two guys still arguing about Spongebob and The Simpson!. I don't know if they'd been there all day and missed all the bands due to their debate or what.

This isn't a quote but at a festival last year me and my mates were giving out money to people walking past. Most people just looked away and walked past but some people gratefully took it. Not loads just like, £2 coins etc. Think we just wanted to see how people reacted (we always have these 'genius' social experiments when f**ked).

Anyway, when sitting by our tent we gave on particular girl a fiver and about half an hour later she came back with £5 worth of sweets for us.

Was a lovely moment.
