Is that the tower they usually have up there (can't remember it's proper name)? Or is it something else?

I saw that. The structure you mean is called the ribbon tower. But that has been there a few days - the structre there now in this picture is bigger. So something else in front of it or an expanded ribbon tower.

edit - may be a crane putting a stage up ?
