festivalsareforthegrey
Here we are just a few hours away from the ticket sales and we have only one band confirmation , surely on previous years the bands have been leaked before now

freehugs!
I think the shame of the proposed headliners is too much for them. Seriously, I cant think of a worst year for headliners if this is true. Id get more rock from the Bournemouth Folk Festival

Chris12345
Not really, Im not a 15 year old who thinks that it should be a indie love in festival. Last year was an awsome line up, this year, sorry, it just sucks a lot of cock.
t8yman
to answer the op's point, this is quite normal, although rumours are usually quite accurate. and I agree with wildheart.
VCK
The headliners are good choices but I think this is the first time in years (certainly the first time since I started going) where none of the headliners have made my jaw drop in awe. So I'm holding out hope for some kick-a bands lower down the bill. Weezer and Ian Brown, fingers crossed!

spoiledff7
Do you mean that lineup with one confirmed band, out of 200?
Fraz01
WHAT A NOB, THE LINEUP HASNT EVEN BEEN ANNOUNCED, AND ANYONE WHO GOES TO A FESTIVAL JUST ON THE STRENGTH OF THE MAINSTAGE HEADLINERS IS A BIT OF A TWAT !!

Fraz01
I'm getting pretty sick of the whole "heavier = better" attitude that so many people have.
freehugs!
im not a massive fan of radiohead + kings + monkeys.. but i hope they all headline just too piss off all the moaning metalheads.. to me festivals arnt all about the music, yeah id like to see a few bands i might like, but its mainly about having a great laugh with my mates in a place with a great atmosphere.. VCK
the main stage headliners are what set "the tone" for the festival as a whole, and are therefore quite a good guide as to what to expect. I decided a long time ago I wasnt going, but I am confident at the moment there is going to be very little I would be gutted to miss. kaosmark2
Not always. Look at 2007, RHCP and the Pumpkins were two very solid headliner choices yet we ended up with a main stage chock full of NME Indie and the odd emo band. (And NIN, before people start getting angry. )
Chris12345
Go to Bournemouth folk festival then You'll have a better time, save yourself a small fortune, and allow someone who does like the lineup to get a ticket.
swede
Oh dear I see you found your caps key. When the headliners take the biggest proportion of the wages you would hope that at least 2 were of reasonable value, otherwises £180+ pounds to see only the lower level bands (many playing at places such as latitude and others that are cheaper festivals) makes you feel slightly downcast and slightly short changed. Now go ignore everything I said, scream and shout and bang those chubby little fists against the keyboard till your mummy buys you a ticket like a good boy. VCK
Yeah, but the tents were fantastic that year. Dino Jr, UNKLE, Silversun Pickups, Mute Math, LCD Soundsystem.....
Chris12345
You've contradicted yourself, there... you say that the headlienrs take the biggest payment... then you say they've booked cheap ones... You can argue all you want about wether you like the bands or not, but booking bands like Kings of Leon is definitely not cheap!
