Never seen them but would love to... I read that the new tour is a full play of the new album. Assume they wouldn't do that at a festival. Be good to hear some of their older stuff.

Can't quite see them headlining outside anymore tho.

For the best I suppose. Manics in smaller venues these days is the way to go. Apparently they weren't that good in '07 but Leeds last year they kicked arse!

I'll be happy wherever they play, as long as they don't clash with Blur mind you.

I have seen the Manics many times and thought they did great in 07.

I would love to see them again at glasto, they never let down live

Love the way they are approaching the new gigs, playing the new album in the first half of the gig, whilst bringing in the classics in the second half.

They could easily play second spot on the Pyramid (How they were third to the Kaiser chiefs last time was a disgrace!).

Get them onboard!

"I write this alone in my bed"

PLEEEAAASE!!!!!

Ah ha!

Just reading this makes me feel 13 again. 20 years since Suicide Alley, 10 years since they headlined the Pyramid. Come on!! Do it, anywhere, even a surprise slot at the Park would be cool.

They were the band of my childhood and at age 15 I ran away to Glastonbury, climbed under the fence and arrived in the festival at the campsite overlooking the Pyramid. I ran towards the stage and just as I got in the crowd they started playing Everything Must Go, it was my first moment of Glasto and I will never forget it.

The first and one of the best moments I have had there (on a personal level).

I have seen them possibly 20 times or so altogether and although I have finally managed to control my obsession now to an unarrestable level (I am a straight male and yet the first time I met Nicky Wire I tried to snog him in quite a serious, spontaneous way. He seemed entertained and scared at the same time and started yelling "I'm a married man!") but they still really add something to a lineup that no one else does.

Whether it's a good thing or a bad thing is up for debate but it is something!!! lol

I need an excuse to wear eyeliner, a feather bower and a Culture Slut dress.

If anyone has any news or any sway on this please do what you can to inform and persuade.

Stay Beautiful!

The update email says there are 'more summer festivals to be confirmed'. They seem clear over Glasto weekend so here's hoping!

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
