GFS charts for the weekend and early next week are gorgeous! dew points in the low 20s, temps in the high twenties quite widely across England and Wales and slightly lower in Scotland and NI, these could potentially be higher as we know the GFS are not too good at predicting temps and often under do them. It's a bit too far out yet, but it looks promising

to tell the truth i dont know if he is talking about glastonbury or just weather in general, but after the low's of earlier today all good news is welcome

The basic pattern now seems well established of High pressure to start with this quickly moving north to allow the chance of thundery showers to push in perhaps late on Friday and into weekend, very much as per yesterday's ensembles. It is very difficult at this stage to pinpoint how many showers will hit Glastonbury, there could a few light showers, ranging to some torrential ones. As a result I am reducing the score to 5.5 as a heatwave seems very likely for at least part of the festival, and some rain is likely, but probably not reaching washout conditions.

Right - a Glastonbury tailored forcast from Anguin. He reccomends taking waterproofs! Fri, Sat, and even Sun likely to have showers. Thunderstorms given for Friday which has the worst forcast, though he says he thinks "chances of one over Worthy Farm are low in his opinion". Basically showery and unsettled, but says festival goers should catch up again tomorrow as changing rapidly now.

Said Wednesday is actually the longest day for hours of daylight now too, not 21st. Showed some footage of Stonehenge too - didn't see any eFests t-shirts though.

Not too bad, I'm guessing that means a 5 at worst at the moment. Seems at worst we are going to get is showers, even if they might be heavy, but thats better than constant rain even if it may churn up the mud for a while. Far more optimistic now than I was this morning

Metcheck is clearly predicting a scorcher! Fantastic yes but also risky - take a high factor (30 plus) sunblock and stick it on first thing in the morning or you could easily find your weekend in ruins guys - any exposed skin needs this .Remember that dehydration can make you seriously ill so drink BIG quantities of water along with your cider. A big hat with a decent brim will help. Take some time out of the sun during early to mid-afternoon - you can make an exception when the Quo are on! Don't get sunstroke, don't get dried out and don't forget to boogie! Remember, you are more at risk in a scorcher than in a washout so use some sense and have a great time.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
