If Green Day are booked it means a two things

1) Efests got its information totally wrong

2) They have all three headliners.

nope.

If Green Day play - and I think it's possible, tho unlikely - it will be because Reading/Leeds have gone back with another offer which Green Day simply couldn't refuse.

I've heard from more than one excellent source - all of which I trust implicitly - that Reading/Leeds thought they'd got GD, and then found out that they hadn't because they didn't want to play festivals this year.

Haven't most people grown out of Blink-182 by now? Is there even an audience for them anymore, for some reason I saw them during their last tour of the UK (their first doing arenas) and they were absolutely awful. I've never seen a band closer to the brink than they were and they'd happily conned a few thousand fans into paying for it and sitting through it instead of doing the fair thing and cancelling and refunding. It was so obvious they'd fallen apart that the encore was just the bloody bassist coming out and doing a solo song. That idiot DeLonge would be better off dead as well. I'm sure a few years ago he said he hated Blink and hated the people they appealled to. Obviously he's realised his other band that were just as shite won't make anywhere near as much money. It's amazing how a guy can go from making 3 minute long musical cock jokes to being one of the most politically righteous idiots of all time. And for the person who said they could sell out every venue in the country three times over, I'm sorry but you're wrong, I'm perfectly aware they'd do an arena tour and it would sell pretty well, but even at the height of their popularity Blink-182 weren't selling out arenas so I can't see it happening now.

This was the exact reason I said it

you went on for years about Smashing Pumpkins playing on this forum and now a band is mentioned that you dont like you had to make a comment, when somebody makes a comment about the bands you like you get defensive.

I hate Smashing Pumpkins and find the singers voice cringe worthy, but I dont feel the need to mention it when the band was rumoured

i've got to agree. their target audience has grown out of them. maybe not all of them, but the majority and i can't see younger kids now going back, finding them and saying "shit, this band is amazing".

they could 2nd headline ok, but a headline slot would be a joke. reading R/L headliners usually impress you. blink would be an hour and a half of "oh, i remember this....... meh"
